Well it's time for my review for the final episodes of Saved By the Bell Season 1. These are some of my favorite episodes of this season and for now on when you see this symbol (F) by the title that means it is a personal favorite. If it doesn't have this symbol it doesn't mean I hate the episode it just means that I've seen it too many times and don't really care for it. First up episode 16: King of the Hill.
Episode 16: King of the Hill (F):
In this episode which I believe to be a flashback takes us to the first day of school where Zack meets Slater and a rivalry is born. He tries everything to get with Kelly. He tries getting the locker next to hers. He tries sitting next to her in class. He tries getting her detention and then getting it himself and they all fail. Don't worry because if you are a true fan of the show like me then you know that they end up getting married.
Episode 17: The Babysitters (F):
In this episode Kelly has to continue to watch her baby brother because her parents aren't back from their weekend trip yet. But she has to take yearbook pictures so the gang helps her out. Zack does especially and he ends up bonding with the baby. She hurts herself and they have decide what to do for the rest of the day while she is at the hospital and they take yearbook pictures. So they decide to lose the baby. But don't worry Mr. Belding has him and would love to know why the baby was in school to begin with. The kids try to convince him he's losing his memory and getting old but he doesn't buy it.
Episode 18: Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind (F):
In this episode Screech plays an alien in a student film production then he plays one for real and the only way to save his life is for his friends to play aliens too. There is also this government agent pretending to be a reporter in order to meet the alien and he ends up embarrassed when the kids and Mr. Belding won't let him take Screech away.
Episode 19: Slater's Friend (F):
Slater has a best friend and his name is Artie and he's a lizard. He introduces him to everyone during a speech and leaves him with Screech for the weekend. Screech gives him to Zack because his animals would love to eat him and the lizard ends up dead. All of this leads to Slater and the gang holding a funeral for Artie.
Episode 20: Screech's Birthday (F):
Screech just had a birthday and his friends forgot so they throw him a surprise birthday party in Mr. Belding's Office during 6th Period after making him Hall Monitor which they admit may have been a mistake. This is a good episode and really shows what friends will do for each other no matter what the cost.
These were a good bunch of episodes to end the season with. Now some will say the order is wrong but I disagree. King of the Hill goes where it originally airs because it is a flashback episode. All you have to do is listen to the opening monologue Zack does as he is waking up for the first day of school. He says "I remember the day Slater first showed up," or something like that. Over all this season was good. There are only I few I have make myself watch in order to make my review of this season fair. Now Next week when I start watching and reviewing Season two there is only one episode I don't really like and fortunately for me it is the last one. Until next Thursday, good-bye.
