“Mom,” said Michelle, “How exactly
did you know each of those people in the cave below had my blood in them?”
“Well,” said Mary, “They hung out at
a particular bar we visited one night.”
“I visited,” corrected David.
“Right,” said Mary, “David visited;
I was in my invisible fairy form. The ones who were being waited on were
obvious vampires because the main menu was human blood. The ones serving them
human blood were waitresses. I sprinkled fairy dust on them to reveal to me if
they had vampire blood in them and they did. This meant they had to know that
if they were to die on any given night they would become vampires, too.”
“But how did you know it was my
blood?” asked Michelle.
“I don’t really,” said Mary, “but
turning them into stone keeps them from becoming vampires and that is all that
matters.”
“Mom,” said Michelle, “If it wasn’t
my blood then it would have phased out of them after 24 hours which means the
next night if they were to die they wouldn’t become vampires.”
“Well,” said Mary, “what you don’t
know is the waitresses were drinking blood-laced soda in the back when they
weren’t being fed on by vampires. So they were keeping vampire blood in their
system. They would become vampires when they died no matter what.”
“And that was a requirement,” added
David, “in order to work there. Drinking the vampire blood in their soda healed
their wombs and allowed them to keep living that night and feeding the guests.”
“Dad?” asked Michelle.
“Yes, sweetie?” asked David.
“You’re not a vampire,” said
Michelle, “how were you even allowed to enter the bar?”
“They have a normal human section of
the restaurant where the vampires are not allowed to cross into,” said David.
“I see,” said Michelle, “Considering
you do not want to become a vampire, what did you have that night?”
“Steak and a baked potato,” said
David.
“And to drink?” asked Michelle.
“Tea,” said David.
“Mom, you said you turn the
waitresses into stone,” said Michelle, “Was it all of those waitresses?”
“Yes,” said Mary, “they were all
turned to stone.”
“And what about the vampires that
were there that night?” asked Michelle.
“I slayed them,” said David.
“And exactly how many are down
there?” asked Michelle, “I couldn’t really tell because of the lack of light.”
“There are at least 20 statues of
people,” said Mary, “Most of them waitresses at that bar. The others are I
believe classmates of yours.”
“My classmates?” asked Michelle.
They finished eating dinner and
Michelle goes back upstairs to finish homework. She comes back downstairs later
ready to go out to hunt vampires.
“I’m going out on my hunt,” said
Michelle, “Wish me luck.”
“Uh Michelle,” said David, “will you
also be calling your clan?”
“Yes, dad,” said Michelle, “I will
also be calling my clan. Don’t worry. I know what I am doing.”
“I hope so,” said David, “I hope
so.”
She exits the house.
Victoria followed by Wanda and Wendy
entered a cell. There they found a rapidly decaying old man sitting in a
wheelchair.
“How are you doing today your
Majesty?” asked Victoria.
“Allow me to return to the sea,” said
the Atlantisian King.
“We can’t allow that,” said
Victoria, “As I told you before when you enter my cave you become my property
and I get to do with you whatever I choose and right now I choose for you to
die and who better to kill you than your own daughter and wife.”
“I have another daughter and when
she gets crown queen and learns of my demise then she will seek revenge on
you,” warned the queen.
“But daddy,” said Wendy, “I’m the
true heir and it will be me who is crown the queen of Atlantis not Whitney.”
“She’s right Webster,” said Wanda,
“As soon as you die we’re going home and Wendy is going to receive that crown.”
“No!” said Webster, “that’s not
possible. You’re vampires! You gave up your right to the crown when you drank
vampire blood then died.”
“Oh but daddy,” said Wendy, “I
didn’t drink anything. It was given to me to save my life. Queen Victoria is my
hero and I owe her for saving me.”
“But you’re still vampires,” said
Webster, “that means you can’t enter Atlantis.”
“Oh but we can,” said Wanda, “Queen Victoria has a genie who granted us
mermaid forms which in turn is what we need to enter Atlantis.”
“No,” said Webster, “I will not
allow. I will contact the council and order them to proceed with Whitney’s
royal coronation immediately.”
“No daddy,” said Wendy, “don’t do
that.”
“Let
him,” said Victoria in her mind, “Yes,
contacting Atlantis will kill him but at least that way your hands are clean.”
“Yes,
my queen,” replied Wendy, “I
understand.”
“Calling
the Atlantis City Council,” thought Webster, “Do you copy?”
“Yes,
your majesty,” said a voice, “What’s
the matter?”
“Please,
commence with Whitney’s coronation ceremony immediately,” he instructed.
“Why?”
asked the council member.
“Other
daughter…is…a…,” thought Webster who suddenly began to gasp for air.
“What’s happening?” he asks.
“Trying to contact Atlantis from
here is deadly,” explained Wanda, “Don’t fight it. You are going to die now.
It’s inevitable.”
“My
King,” said the council member, “What’s
going on?”
“I’m
dying,” he replies, “Contacting you
is my last act as King of Atlantis.”
“What
were you saying before?” asked the council member.
“My
other daughter is a vampire and plans on returning and take her seat on the
throne,” said Webster, “Do
not…allow…this.”
Webster then dies.
“My
King will you please repeat that message,” asked the council member.
“Well,” said Wendy, “now all I need
to do is go to Atlantis and take my spot on the throne.”
“Then go,” said Victoria, “you have
my blessing to do this.”
They exit the dungeon.
“Remove this body,” said Victoria,
“take it outside and burn it. There cannot be any evidence that he was ever
here.”
