From Chapter 14…[U1]
“You’re cheating,” said the queen,
“Someone on the outside is helping you. You’re not allowed to cheat.”
“Uh,” said Michelle, “who said you
get to make the rules. It’s my body we’re fighting for control over. Control
I’m going to win.”
“Don’t be so sure,” said the queen.
“You’ve keep saying that but you
have not won yet,” said Michelle.
“Neither have you,” said the queen.
“Well I have access to something you
don’t,” said Michelle, “Magic.”
“Wait what?” asked the queen.
Chapter 15
Michelle’s Mind…[U2]
“That’s right,” said Michelle, “I
have access to magic. But you don’t.”
She waves her hand clockwise
creating a circle of swirly lights around her fingers.
“See this,” said Michelle, “This is
what I can use to do to you whatever I want and guess what?”
“What?” asked the queen.
“I choose to make you shrink,” said
Michelle who hurls the lights at the queen.
Instantly the queen begins to shrink
to a small size.
“Wait a minute,” said the queen,
“this isn’t fair! You were supposed to be forced to embrace your destiny!”
“I am,” said Michelle, “My destiny
is to get rid of those you create.”
She picks up her shrunken
counterpart and places her in a cage.
“I think,” said Michelle, “this
means I win the battle. I’m ready to come out of the meditative trance now!”
The tub containing Michelle begins
to beep. This alerts Judy immediately.
“Wow,” said Judy, “didn’t take the
queen very long to take over did it.”
“Well,” said Victoria, “We are
talking about a vampire queen after all. Raise her up. I release the genie from
the bottle.”
Judy presses the button on the
machine and the platform begins to rise above the water. Victoria releases the
genie from the bottle.
“My Master,” she said, “How may I serve
you?”
“Are you fully recharged?” asked
Victoria.
“Yes, master,” said the genie, “What
may I do for you?”
“Wake up the subject,” said
Victoria.
“As you wish,” said genie walking
over to the tub.
She places her arms above Michelle.
“It’s time to wake up from your
meditative state,” said the genie.
Michelle’s eyes begin to blink.
“Am I back in the real world now?”
she asked.
“Yes, you are,” said the genie.
Judy comes to the tub and releases
the straps.
“Well,” said Victoria, “Did you
win?”
“Yes, I did,” said Michelle, “I have
complete control now.”
“Good,” said Victoria, “When you
call your clan, it will attract a lot of slayers. Slayers who want to make
names for themselves by slaying the newest queen. That will be you. My advice
is to take some of my vampires as guards. They’re stand guard around your
chosen home and keep the slayers out until all the vampires in your clan
arrive. Would you like that?”
“Oh
no!” thought Michelle, “She thinks
the queen won. That can only mean one thing. She wanted the queen to win. Which
means the queen was right about why the vervain was in the water. If this is
true and she thinks the queen is in charge, it is best I play along and pretend
to be her which means I need to agree to her guards.”
“Well,” said Victoria, “Would you
like me to provide you some guards for your clan gathering.”
“Yes, Queen Victoria,” said
Michelle, “and I hope that doing this is a sign you want an alliance of sort
with me in the future. We will come to each other’s aid if attack by a common
enemy and we won’t go after each other for any reason whatsoever. Agreed?”
“Agreed,” said Victoria, who thought
to herself, “For now.”
Michelle gets down walks over behind
the curtain again to remove her swimsuit and puts on her other clothes. Minutes
later she is walking from behind the curtain with a bag on her shoulder.
“I’m ready to leave now,” said
Michelle.
“Good,” said Victoria, “When you are
ready to call your clan, first contact me through telepathy so I can send you
some guards and when they arrive, you can proceed with calling your clan.”
“Sounds good to me,” said Michelle,
“And the first thing I’m going to do is
stake each one as a sign that I mean business when I say I’m going to embrace
my slayer side!”
At the same time Victoria was
thinking, “As soon as vampires began to
arrive to form her clan, my guards are going to execute my plan of bringing
down Michelle forever!”
Michelle exits the lab.
“Genie!” said Victoria.
“The name is Mindy,” said the genie.
“Okay,” said Victoria, “Mindy,
returned to the bottle!”
Instantly, Mindy becomes a puff of
smoke and enters the bottle. Victoria places the cork on top.
“My queen,” said Judy, “Who will you
send to execute your plan?”
