Bite Me v.7 Chapter 15 Part 3 of 4

Michelle suddenly begins to move again.

            “It worked,” said Michelle.

“Are you my beautiful granddaughter or that ugly monster that resides inside?” asked Mary.

“I’m both,” said Michelle, “I formed a partnership with her. When I need to be a vampire queen I will let her take over. But when I need to be the slayer I will have control.”

“So in regards to your split-personality,” said Mary, “you have done nothing but officially create one.”

“Yeah,” said Michelle, “technically, I have.”

“You know if people find out you have a split-personality then they’re going to want to lock you up,” said Mary who was resuming human form.

“Let them try,” said Michelle, “Now about that seal to this cave.”

“My queen,” said Judy, “my sources tell me that we’ve been tricked. It wasn’t the queen who won control but the slayer.”

“Interesting,” said Victoria, “She sure did pull it off pretending to be the queen. Well I guess she’ll be contacting me for those body guards for sure.”

“I’ve already got the vampires I’ve chosen to go with me on stand-by,” said Judy, “We are waiting for your signal to go.”

            “Very well,” said Victoria.

After trying several spells, Michelle finally manages to break the seal to the cave. And sure enough a genie maker shows up to put Michelle in a bottle.

“It’s about time you showed up,” said Michelle.

“You’ve been expecting me?” asked the genie maker.

“Yeah,” said Michelle, “Every since I found out that breaking the seal on this cave with witchcraft would draw one out. But if you know who I am you wouldn’t even bother attempting to put me in that bottle.”

“You’re a witch,” said the genie maker, “that is all I have to know.”

He summons a bottle and removes its lid.

            “Become a genie,” he commands.

Pink smoke comes out of the bottle and begins to surround Michelle but when it dispersed she was still standing there. She laughs when his genie making spell didn’t work.

“I don’t understand,” said the genie maker.

“I’m not a witch,” said Michelle, “I just have access to witchcraft which I will use to do this.”

She waves her right hand one time in a clockwise direction creating a circle of swirly lights.

“Turn to stone!” she commanded as she throws the lights to him and slowly he begins to turn to stone.

“Before you are completely turned,” said Michelle, “What happens to all those witches you made into genies?”

“If they are in my special hidden vault,” said the genie maker, “they are trapped forever.”

“And if they are in the service of another?” asked Michelle.

“They’re return to normal the next time they are released from their bottle or immediately if they are already outside,” he says as his head turns to stone.

“Michelle,” said Mary who was watching all of this take place, “why did you turn him to stone?”

“To teach him a lesson,” said Michelle, “Not everyone who has and uses witchcraft is evil.”

“But you just proved to him that they are,” said Mary.

“Okay,” said Michelle, “I’ll reverse the spell but not until you tell me something.”

            “Yes?” asked Mary.

“If I reverse the spell will all those genies he created still go free?” asked Michelle.

“Only if he has been a stoned statue for 24 hours or longer,” said Mary, “that’s the one thing he didn’t tell you. The genies won’t be freed until then. Remember after 24 hours…”

            “They’re dead,” said Michelle, “okay.”

She waves her right hand in a clockwise direction one time creating a circle of lights and throws them at the stoned statue of the genie maker.

“Return to normal,” she says and in an instant he was flesh and blood and gasping for breath.

“Why did you do that?” he asked.

“To teach you a lesson that not every witch is evil,” said Michelle.

“But you just proved that they are,” said the genie maker.

“Yes,” said Michelle, “so I’m told but I’m the kind you should go after not the kind you shouldn’t.”

“But I still don’t understand why you didn’t become a genie,” he said.

“Because of two reasons,” said Michelle, “My last name is Van Helsing. And I’m a Vampire Queen!”

The emphasis she used to identify herself caused an instant transformation from teenage girl to vampire queen.

“A Van Helsing that is a Vampire Queen?” he asked, “I’ve been in the genie making business for centuries and I never thought for once I would see this.”

“Now unless you want me to turn you to stone again,” said Queen Michelle, “I suggest you leave at once.”

The genie maker vanishes from sight.

“Michelle,” said Mary, “are you still you?”

“Yeah,” said Michelle, “I’m still here.”

“Your look is different you know,” said Mary.

“Yeah,” agreed Michelle, “I don’t know who this happen.”

But I do,” said the voice.

“Oh no,” said Michelle, “not again. I thought when we form our partnership that you wouldn’t ever communicate with me again.”

Well this is what we call in the supernatural world an exception to the rules,” said the voice, “You declared yourself a Vampire Queen with such amount of pride that it transformed you into what you are. I didn’t do a thing. In fact, this will be our last communication with each other.
