Upon arriving Michelle immediately
runs up to her room and puts on her swimsuit. She then puts on her old clothes over
them. She then proceeds to enter her bathroom and looks herself in the mirror.
“You think you can just take over
anytime you want now,” said Michelle, “I have news for you. The meditation I’m
about to go through will allow me to battle you in my mind and I will win and
just to be sure I do, I will have a few extra advantages on my side. You have
been warned.”
She walks out of the bathroom
through the hall and then down the stairs. At fifteen minutes to four she exits
the house and heads for the park.
Michelle arrives and sits down on
the Park Bench. Minutes later, Judy arrives. She is dressed in traditional
vampire attire: a black gown and cape. Her fangs are very visible and her skin
tone is very pale.
“Who are you?” asked Michelle
reaching for her a stake she keeps in her bag just in case she needs it.
“I’m Queen Victoria’s chief
general,” said Judy, “but you may remember me as the one who drew your blood a
couple of times last spring.”
“Wait,” said Michelle, “you’re Judy.
But you look so different.”
“That’s because I had to take a very
human disguise back then in order to draw your blood,” said Judy, “If I tried
to do that then, you probably wouldn’t have let me.”
“You are probably right considering
you are the exact kind of monster that I slay on a nightly basis,” said
Michelle, “And unfortunately for you it is still day light so you will
immediately burst into flames as soon as this stake enters you.”
“Michelle,” said Judy, “why do you
want to stake me for? When 1, you promised Queen Victoria you wouldn’t stake
anyone in her clan and 2, I’m here to escort you to be put in the meditative
state.”
“I’m sorry,” said Michelle, “but my
vampire side has been trying to take over already but I have been given an
extra boost of power that will allow me to defeat her once I am in the
meditative state.”
“Very well,” said Judy, “Follow me.”
Michelle begins to follow Judy
across the park to the clinic. Judy opens the door and they both enter.
Michelle is still wearing her normal day clothes but underneath is her
swimsuit. In the clinic, Michelle follows Judy to a secret elevator that goes
down into the caves below the building. They get on board and then Michelle is
led to a lab.
“This is Queen Victoria’s meditation
lab. That tub is where you will be submerged in to battle your other self
inside your mind. If you will proceed to go behind that curtain over there and
remove your outward garments, we can begin,” said Judy.
Michelle walks behind the curtain
and removes her outer clothing. She comes out dressed in her swimsuit. She
walks back to Judy who leads her to the tub. Using her strong upper body
strength, Michelle lifts herself up on the platform floating in the water. She
rotates herself until her entire body is on the board. She stretches out her
legs and lays back.
“Now,” said Judy, “so you can
breathe while underwater, I’m going to give you this oxygen mask. Do you
understand?”
“Yes, I do,” said Michelle.
After Judy puts on the oxygen mask
she says, “Now I am going to have to strap your body in order to insure it will
lower. Once you are submerged, Victoria will come in with the genie and place
you into the meditation trance. Do you understand?”
Michelle nods her head. Judy straps
Michelle to the platform she was laying on.
“Well are you ready to be submerged
into the vervain laced water?” asked Judy.
Michelle nods again.
“Very well,” said Judy pressing a
button marked submerged to submerge the platform Michelle was lying on into the
vervain laced water.
The minute the water touched her
Michelle could feel the burn.
“What’s
going on?” she thought, “Victoria
told me that the vervain wouldn’t bother me. But the burning, I can barely stand it.”
“I
told you,” said the voice, “I told
you the vervain would still affect you. It’s the vampire blood. It reacts
violently when in contact with this herb. Victoria lied to you.”
“Well,”
said Michelle, “It won’t matter. I still
will defeat you and retain control over my body and be the one who decides what
destiny I will embrace.”
