A portal opens and a fairy passes
through it. The fairy resumes human form and takes her seat behind the
principal’s desk.
“What’s going on?” asked the
Principal.
“I don’t know,” said the secretary,
“Sounds like a fight between two students.”
“But school is over,” said the
Principal.
“I know,” said the secretary, “but
that doesn’t mean fights don’t happen after school.”
“That’s true,” said the Principal.
“Don’t you think you should go break
it up or something?” asked the secretary.
“You’re right,” said the Principal,
“come with me.”
They rush out of the office and run
down the hall to where the fight was occurring and they were shocked to see it
was Aphrodite and Athena.
“Aphrodite?” asked the Principal
“Athena?” asked the secretary.
“Why are you two fighting?” asked
the Principal, “You’re cousins.”
“Just because we’re cousins doesn’t
mean we don’t fight,” said Aphrodite.
She continues to punch Athena.
“Yeah,” said Athena, “Cousins fight
all the time.”
“But you two,” said the secretary,
“never fight. No one in your family fights.”
“That is because centuries ago,”
said Aphrodite, “A fairy sprinkled fairy dust on our ancestors commanding them
to never fight and the effects of the spell carried over from generation to
generation.”
“Okay,” said the secretary, “why are
you fighting now?”
“I don’t know,” said Aphrodite, “I
out of nowhere wanted to slap her face and I did. Then she slapped me and I
shoved her. You know the general things that usually happen in fights.”
“Well will you please stop,” said
the Principal.
“We can’t,” said Aphrodite, “I don’t
know why but we can’t.”
“Take her and I take the other one
and let’s separate them,” said the Principal.
“Yes, mam,” said the secretary.
They each grab one of the girls and
attempt to separate them but can’t seem to do it.
The Principal looks at the secretary
and head points to the detention room. She then looks up. The secretary steps
back and touches her forehead.
Within seconds she had transformed
herself into a fairy and turned invisible she flies over the girls and sprinkles
fairy dust on them without them knowing and says, “Stop fighting.”
The girls immediately stop fighting
and stand up. They both were very badly bruised from the fight. The secretary
resumed her human form.
“I don’t feel so good,” said Athena,
“It’s like two powerful forces are controlling me at the same time.”
“I don’t feel so good either,” said
Aphrodite, “Why did you make us stop?”
“They
stop fighting without my orders,” said Michelle, “And it wasn’t their own choice.”
She pauses for a moment and
remembers what happen last week.
“Fairies!”
thought Michelle, “They’re making them
stop fighting and somehow it is hurting me too.”
Another pause.
