The
Final bell rings…
“Oh I am so glad this is over with,”
said Athena, “I’m going to get changed and then I’m going home.”
“Uh,” said Michelle, “you’ve got
detention this afternoon. With me.”
“Right,” said Athena, “I forgot.”
“No, you didn’t,” said Michelle,
“You are just saying that.”
“Right again,” said Athena, “I said
that to get out of detention.”
Michelle starts to say something
else but decides against it.
Chapter Seven
“When
Athena gets here, I’ll really have some fun with her,” thought Michelle.
Just
outside the room…
“Hey Athena!” said Aphrodite.
“Hey Aphrodite!” said Athena.
“Need a ride home?” asked Aphrodite.
“You can’t drive,” said Athena.
“I know but mom is coming to pick me
up,” said Aphrodite, “I thought we could drop you off, too.”
“Well unfortunately,” said Athena,
“I have detention today because of what happen in gym class.”
“What happen?” asked Aphrodite.
“You know I have absolutely no
idea,” said Athena, “I was just minding my own business and occasionally
critiquing Michelle Van Helsing’s swimming skill when she got out and told me
to get in and do better and that is exactly what I did.”
“What’s wrong with that?” asked
Aphrodite.
“I was in my cheerleading outfit,”
said Athena, “and I was excused from participating in class because I needed to
be in my outfit for cheerleading tryouts during 7th period.”
“You said she told you to do
something and then you did it?” asked Aphrodite.
“Yeah,” said Athena, “And she told
me to jump, cluck like a chicken and
leave and admit that I was really a loser who was lucky to be the head
cheerleader and without even thinking I started to do each of those things.”
“You know,” said Aphrodite, “now
that I think about it. As strange as this may sound I believe she did the same
thing to me when I caught her outside the gym last period. She said she was
there for tryouts and was a little late and that I would believe her and I
did.”
“She is one strange kid,” said Athena.
“That is more true than you can
possibly imagine,” said Aphrodite, “Mom was telling me about her mom and all
the strange things she was able to do but actually manipulating people was not
one of them.”
“You know if word gets out that she
can control us,” said Athena, “our reputations as the most powerful girls at
this school will be ruin.”
“Where is Athena?” asked Michelle
who decided to go look for her.
She walks up to the door and is
about to open it when she hears the conversation between the Olym cousins.
“So
you much rather talk than be in detention,” thought Michelle, “I think it would be a good idea for you to
join us Aphrodite. So slap Athena across the face.”
Slap!
“Ouch!” cried Athena, “Why did you
do that for?”
“I don’t know,” said Aphrodite.
“Slap
her back Athena!” thought Michelle.
Slap!
“Ouch!” cried Aphrodite, “I told you
I didn’t know why I did that so why did you do it to me?”
“I don’t know,” said Athena.
“Aphrodite
give her a big shove into the wall,” commanded Michelle in her mind.
Aphrodite pushes Athena into the
wall.
“Now
Athena with all your strength and might spear into Aphrodite knocking her to
the ground and begin punching her into the face,” thought Michelle.
