She tries to enter but can’t.
“Crap,” she said, “I need to be
invited in.”
“Aphrodite,” said her older brother Ares, “I think you better get up to your room before mom and dad find out you were up all night.”
“Aphrodite,” said her older brother Ares, “I think you better get up to your room before mom and dad find out you were up all night.”
“I
wonder if that counts as an invite in?” she thought.
She tries to enter but still can’t.
“Come on,” said Ares, “I’m trying to
help you out here. Come inside.”
She tries again and is able to
enter.
“Thank-you,” said Aphrodite.
“For what?” asked Ares.
“Nothing,” she said.
“Mom,” said Athena, “It’s time.”
“Time for what,” she said before
seeing the fangs in Athena’s mouth, “Oh, okay sweetie. Drink away.”
She puts forth her wrist and Athena
bites it thus making her transition complete.
Aphrodite knocks on Ares’ door.
“Yes, come in,” he said.
She enters the room.
“I need your help with something,”
said Aphrodite.
“What do you need help with?” he
asked, “Math? Science? History?”
“Uh, Science,” said Aphrodite, “How
does the blood flow when it is being sucked out of you by a vampire?”
“Uh,” said Ares, “I don’t think I’m
qualified to answer that question. Ask a doctor.”
“Why not find out together right now
in a little experiment?” asked Aphrodite.
“What kind?” asked Ares.
“Put forth your right wrist,”
instructed Aphrodite.
He does. Aphrodite then takes it and
looks him in the eyes.
“You will not scream when I do this
because you will not know you are in pain,” said Aphrodite, “understand?”
“Yes,” said Ares.
“Good,” she said before bringing the
wrist to her mouth and biting it in order to drink his blood.”
