From Chapter 11:[U1]
“I
can’t be for sure but I believe that Jessica had told you most of this one
night,” said Judy, “but before she could finish you had confined her to the
bottle.”
“Oh,” said Victoria, “I do remember
that. And yes she did try to tell me something else but I just ignored it at
the time. If Michelle has access to witch’s magic within her, slaying her is
not going to be easy.”
“My sources tell me that she had not
embraced being a queen yet,” said Judy, “She may not know herself that she has
this kind of access to power.”
“Well,” said Victoria, “I guess it
is time I paid her another visit to help her decide to embrace what she is.”
Chapter 12
Olym Mansion…[U2]
“Why hasn’t she called us?” asked
Athena, “we are going to go out on a hunt tonight right?”
“That’s the way I understood it,”
said Aphrodite, “what if it is too late?”
“Too late for what?” asked Athena.
“Too late for her to stop herself
from embracing her true identity and becoming a queen of the vampires,” said
Aphrodite
“Wait,” said Athena, “If she does
that then that means she’ll stop hunting them.”
“Then there is no choice,” said
Aphrodite, “We have to go out there and slay vampires ourselves without her.
That is what the slayer side of her would want.”
“I agree,” said Athena, “Let’s go.”
They exit the mansion.
Athena and Aphrodite are roaming the
streets looking for vampires when they came across a huge gathering of them.
“Wow,” said Athena, “I think we have
just hit the mother-load.”
“Shh,” said Aphrodite, “Some of them
are talking, let’s listen.”
“My fellow vampires,” said the
obvious leader, “I have called all of you here because there is a slayer out
there killing our kind.”
“Boo!” said the crowd of vampires.
“I know,” said the lead vampire,
“This slayer, I am told is also a vampire queen herself which means she is
going against her very nature just to kill her own people. She has be stopped.”
“That’s right!” said the crowd.
“But we cannot defeat her on our own,”
said the slayer, “if we attack her all at once, all we need to do is rip out
her heart and she’ll become like some of us, a rogue and then the threat will
be over.”
“They want to kill Michelle,”
whispered Athena, “I say let them.”
“We can’t,” whispered Aphrodite,
“that honor has to belong to us.”
“Right,” whispered Athena, “What
should we do?”
“I don’t know,” whispered Aphrodite,
“for now let’s continue to listen.”
“Listen to what,” said a voice
behind them.
They turned around and saw one of
those vampires behind them.
“Are you two slayers, too?” asked
the vampire.
“What’s it to you?” asked Aphrodite.
“Your life,” said the vampire
releasing his fangs down from his gums, “now are you slayers or not?”
“We are,” said Athena who was speaking
out of turn.
“Athena!” whispered Aphrodite
“Then come with me,” said the
vampire who grabbed both girls by the arms and dragged them to the front of the
crowd, “These two were caught stooping behind us and they claim to be slayers.
“Oh really?” asked the lead vampire,
“Why were you two spying on us?”
No response.
“Well then,” said the vampire, “if
you don’t answer then you will be destroy.”
“Well if it isn’t the famous slayer,
Ms. Michelle Van Helsing,” said a vampire who jumps out of nowhere to surprise
the young teen.
“I’m that famous among vampires?”
asked Michelle, “Wow, and I’ve only been doing this for a few months.”
“Well,” said the vampire, “You’re
the most targeted slayer on any vampire’s list to kill.”
“Oh really,” said Michelle, “Go
ahead give it your best shot.”
The vampire attacks and Michelle
steps away to the side to allow him to miss. She takes a stake from her stash
and slings it into the vampire’s chest.
“That is why I should be famous
within your monsters ranks,” said Michelle, “because this is what I do.”
“Well their blood sure was tasty,”
said a vampire, “It’s too bad we couldn’t turn them.”
“Yeah,” said another vampire, “The
way these two fought to the end they would have made great warriors on our
side.”
The group of vampires begins to
disperse as the sun begins to rise. Those who were rogue would burn to a crisp
if they stayed outside.
While about to slay a vampire,
Michelle suddenly goes into a trance. This allows the vampire to escape.
“Where are we?” asked Athena, “I
thought we died.”
“You did not die,” said Michelle.
“Michelle,” said the girls in
unison.
“Yes,” said Michelle, “It is I. I’m
a queen. More importantly, I am your queen. Because my blood was inside of you
when you died, you became members of my ever growing clan. You are obligated to
serve me. When the time is right, I will call on the clan to join me in a new
home. For now, lay low and go on with normal living.”
“But we’re dead,” said Athena.
“You are until you wake up,” said
Michelle, “Once you do you will be able to go on with your lives. In 12 hours,
though you will need to feed on someone in order to complete the transition. Do
you understand what I have told you?”
“Yes, my queen,” they said in
unison.
