Bite Me v.7 Chapter 10 Part 7 of 7

Man that was strange,” she thought as she continued getting dressed, “I felt something being put on me but why? Wait I think someone may have put fairy dust on me and I think that someone was my grandmother.”

She quickly runs out of her room and downstairs.

“Mom,” she said, “did you just sprinkle fairy dust on me?”

            “Yes, I did,” said Mary.

            “Why?” she asked.

“It is to help you in your hunts for vampires,” said Mary, “Trust me. It’s for the best.”

“I hope you’re right,” said Michelle.

“Attention students,” came a voice over the loud speaker, “if your teachers would pass out the ballots you can now vote for who you want for Student Body President.”

“Do you children really think you can slay all of us?” asked a vampire, “there are ten of us and only three of you.”

A vampire suddenly gasps for breath as she falls to the ground and becomes immobilized.

“Huh,” said Michelle, “now there is only 9 of you and to answer your question. Yes, we can.”

A fight emerges and the girls were having the toughest time defeating these vampires. But one by one the vampires fall and the girls were indeed victorious.
“Wow,” said Athena, “10 vampires at one time. That is quite an accomplishment.”

“Indeed,” said Michelle, “now let’s go home and rest and study. We can slay more vampires tomorrow night.”

            They leave to go home.

“Ah!” cried Michelle from her bedroom, “the pain is back! Make it stop! Make it stop!”

David and Mary come running into her bedroom.

“The pain is back again?” asked Mary.

“Yes,” said Michelle, “and it is more intense than ever. What’s going on? I’ve never awaken with chest pains before I started hunting vampires. Could there be a connection?”

“I don’t see why there would be,” lied Mary.

The pain stops and Michelle gives a sigh of relief.

“Attention students,” said the lady, “the winner of the school elections for Student Body President is Michelle Van Helsing. Congratulations, young lady on your exciting victory.”

“Wait,” said a student in Michelle’s class, “how did she win when she was not the favorite one bit?”

“Yeah,” said another student, “the other contestant was leading in the poles by a landslide.”

All the students look at Michelle.

“Don’t look at me,” she said, “I didn’t do anything.”

“A lot of strange things have been happening at this school lately when you’re around,” said the first student, “like controlling the most powerful girl in this school. How in the world are you able to do that unless…”

            “Unless what?” asked Michelle.

“A witch,” said a third student, “she’s a witch and she’s using witchcraft to control other students to get what she wants.”

“No, I am not a witch,” said Michelle.

            “Witch!” cried the first student.

            “Witch!” cried the second student.

            “Witch!” cried the third student.

Then they whole class began chanting that Michelle was a witch.

“Silence!” demanded Michelle, “No one is to call me a witch again! Do I make myself clear?”

Instantly the students became quiet. And as soon as they were Michelle asks the substitute teacher if she can go to the restroom. The teacher allows it and Michelle hurrying leaves the classroom.

Michelle stares at her reflection in the mirror.

“What’s going on with me lately,” she said, “I’ve been controlling for a while two girls and was actually enjoying it but just now I controlled an entire classroom of students. An entire classroom. And I’ve had only two outings as a slayer and both yesterday and today I wake up with chest pains. Is there some kind of connection?”

She looks away from the mirror then looks back again but this time sees someone different in the mirror.

“Who are you and why do I keep seeing you as my reflection in the mirror?” she asked, “Are you responsible for all the things that are happening to me both the good and the bad?”

            No response.

“If you are not going to answer me then why appear before me at all?” asked Michelle.

She proceeds to use the bathroom then wash her hands before returning to class. When she looks in the mirror she sees only her reflection looking back and not what she thought she saw earlier.

Three Months Later; Vampire Cave…

            “Report,” commanded Victoria.

“My queen,” said Judy, “the numbers in Michelle’s clan is growing steadily. She has about 150 members.”

“Good,” said Victoria, “that means pretty soon her vampire persona will soon be taking over.”

“She also has been slaying vampires at a very quick rate,” said Judy, “over the course of the last 12 weeks she has slayed almost as many vampires that have been awaken.”

“Has she been giving blood regularly at the clinic?” asked Victoria.

“Actually, yeah,” said Judy, “and that is what is allowing the numbers to grow despite her slaying vampires from her own tribe.”

“Well then,” said Judy, “it is only a matter of time. Only a matter of time.”
