Bite Me v.7 Chapter 13 Part 1 of 6

She rotates the right hand creating a circle of swirly lights and throws them at her target saying, “Turn to Stone!”

The instance the lights touched the school secretary she began to turn to stone.

“So the newest vampire queen has acquired witchcraft powers now,” she said, “Fortunately, for me I have a counter spell handy that will save me without turning me into a witch.”

She quickly with her free mobilized hand touched her fairy gem on her headband and wished to become a fairy.

Chapter 13

            “You’re a fairy?” asked Michelle.

“Yes, I am,” said the secretary who then sprinkles dust on herself then returns to her human form.

Upon returning to being human, she does not turn to stone.

“What happen?” asked Michelle, “I just tried to turn you to stone and then you didn’t.”

“Like I said,” repeated the secretary, “It was a counter-spell. I simply became a fairy and sprinkled dust on myself and then resume human form.”

            Michelle looks frightened.

            “What’s wrong?” asked the secretary.

“You’re not going to tell my grandma about this are you?” asked Michelle.

“She’ll have to be informed as queen of the fairies,” said the secretary, “Actually, she probably is already aware just as she is when a fairy becomes a witch.”

“Speaking of which,” said Michelle, “you mention I had obtain witchcraft powers, what did you mean by that?”

“I mean the spell you attempted to cast was a witch’s one,” said the secretary.

“But how did I obtain witchcraft powers when I was never a fairy?” asked Michelle.

“That I’m not 100% sure but I imagine someone in your clan probably bit a witch on a full moon lit night,” said the secretary.

“But how did that give me witchcraft?” asked Michelle.

“The vampire is in your clan,” said the secretary, “That connection the two of you had gave you the powers of witchcraft, too. Plus, all the vampires in your clan now have witchcraft as well.”

“If there a way to get rid of these powers?” asked Michelle, “I don’t want the queen inside of me learning of this or she will surely use it to take over of my body.”

“Wait you are the queen,” said the secretary.

“Not really,” said Michelle, “Being the descendent of Van Helsing and the Vampire Queen has somehow given me a split-personality which means she and I are different people.”

“I don’t think I believe you,” said the secretary.

“It’s true,” said Michelle, “I’ve talked to her many times even though I rather not.”

“Well if you are serious about not having witchcraft in you then all you have to do is say, ‘I denounce my craft’,” said the secretary.

            “I see,” said Michelle.

“But wait until the next full moon night to do it,” said the secretary, “If you do it then, witchcraft can’t ever return to your body. No matter how many witches are bitten by vampires in your clan.”

“I’ll do that,” said Michelle, “Uh about me being late to class.”

“I’ll tell you what,” said the secretary pulling out a slip of paper, “give this to your teacher. It’s an excuse for being tardy.”

            “Thank-you,” said Michelle.

“You’re welcome,” said the secretary, “Oh and if you are right about there being two personalities in you then I would consider casting a spell on yourself to further restrain your other half. But to keep such spell intact you don’t need to denounce the craft.”

“Wow,” said Michelle, “that is a tough decision to make.”

“And I know you will make the right one,” said the secretary, “besides you are a Van Helsing after all.”

“That’s right,” said Michelle, “I am.”

Bite Me v.7 Chapter 12 Part 5 of 5

“Athena, please believe me when I say that it was not me that told you to lay low,” said Michelle.

“It wasn’t you?” asked Athena, “I don’t understand.”

“I believe I have what they call a split-personality,” said Michelle, “there’s me then there’s the vampire queen hidden deep within me who’s trying to take control. She is the one who spoke with you after your death.”

“If it wasn’t you-you,” said Athena, “what were you doing at this time?”

“Experiencing a black out,” said Michelle.

            The first bell rings.

“I guess we better get to our first classes before the tardy bell rings,” said Athena.

“No,” said Michelle, “It’s the first day. They can’t fuss too much. Besides I still want to talk about this.”

“Okay,” said Athena, “but if I get detention it will be your fault your majesty.”

            “No, it won’t,” said Michelle.

“Of course it won’t,” said Athena who then shook her head and blinked her eyes and said, “wait what?”

            Michelle just laughs.

            “What’s so funny?” asked Athena.

“Even though you are technically dead,” said Michelle, “I can still make you do whatever I want.”

“Why is that so funny?” asked Athena.

“Because you are supposed to be the most powerful girl at this school and yet I can control your every move,” said Michelle.

“I don’t find that funny,” said Athena, “in fact I was hoping something would happen to you so that connection between us would end but instead I’m more connected to you than ever. If you die then so do I.”

“Oh,” said Michelle, “At least, you can’t die yourself except for a stake in the heart.”
“An act that will cost you just as much pain and suffering,” said Athena.

“I know,” said Michelle, “but I can help that.”

“Okay,” said Athena, “You were saying that it wasn’t you that appeared to me and Aphrodite when we died last night. That it was the vampire queen in you that was a completely different personality. Is that right?”

            “Yes, it is,” said Michelle.

“Okay,” said Athena, “In the instance the queen does take over, how will I know it is her and not you?”

“Did she mention before your awakening about gathering the clan at some point?” asked Michelle.

            “Yes, she did,” said Athena.

“When that event happens then you know she is in control of me,” said Michelle, “but trust me, it will not happen.”

“Look, Michelle,” said Athena, “you might not worry about being late and all but I am and the tardy bell just rung. Please allow me to go to my next class.”

            “Go ahead,” said Michelle.

            “Thank-you,” said Athena.

She exits the girls’ restroom. Michelle however goes over to the mirror.

“Well hello there old friend,” she said while looking at her reflection, “care to say anything before I start the 8th grade?”

            No response.

“What’s that?” asked Michelle, “You’re not going to transform my reflection and speak this time. And you call yourself the queen of the vampires. I told you I would not embrace you and that I would keep you from taking over and I was right.”

“I don’t know who you are talking too young lady,” said a voice, “but I would advise you get to your first class now or you might be placed in all-day detention.”

Michelle turns around and it is the secretary.

            “Oh it’s you,” said Michelle.

She looks into the young woman’s eyes and sees what she is and immediately knows she can’t make her do what she wants.

Rats,” she thought, “a fairy. Man I wish I could turn her into stone or something.”

You can,” came an answer from a voice in her head.

Who said that?” she thought, “or rather thought that?”

I did,” said the voice, “The name is Victoria. Do you remember me?”

Vaguely,” thought Michelle, “Hey, wait a minute. You’re the one who convince me to sign up to donate blood last spring. You caused this all to happen.”

No,” said Victoria, “You made all this happen I just provided the means. But there is a reason why I did this.”

            There is?” asked Michelle.

Yeah,” thought Victoria, “I wanted a companion in this world just like me who understood me and such.”

Wait, you’re a Vampire Queen, too?” asked Michelle.

Yeah,” said Victoria, “I am. And because I am I know how you can make her turn to stone.”

Are you going to share that thought with me?” asked Michelle.

Sure,” said Victoria, “All you have to do is rotate your right hand in a clockwise direction causing a circle of swirly lights to appear. Then state the spell you wish you cast and throw that circle at your target. The instance it hits your desire target, she will begin to turn to stone.

Okay,” said Michelle, “I’ll give it a try.”

 Preview of Chapter 13…

 Girls’ Restroom…

            “You’re a fairy?” asked Michelle.

“Yes, I am,” said the secretary who then sprinkles dust on herself then returns to her human form.

Upon returning to being human, she does not turn to stone.

A Review of Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas and some announcements

Well I watched for I don't know how many times the second of two Saved by the Bell Movie. As I was watching the last part of the movie which includes the wedding scene I could help but think that this was also a way of saying good-bye to these characters for some of the cast. Dustin Diamond was playing Screech on the New Class and would continue to do so until 2000. Mario Lopez would reprise his role twice and Lisa and Zack would do so once. But besides those small cameos they had this was their good-bye to each other and to us as fans.

And about the plot of the movie. Just like the first one I loved it and always will. The plot didn't introduce any plot holes that couldn't be explain from something in the series although Screech working at Bayside was never mention but I can let that slide. The opening scene of them playing paintball is one of my favorites and it leads up to a later scene. Just like in Hawaiian Style there wasn't anything that wasn't introduced that was not important later in the movie.

For example: Why were Zack and Kelly about to get married in a cheap Chapel? It is because Zack was caught speeding and the three of them were put in jail and their freedom cost exactly $1200 which is what Zack had in his back pocket. Why was Kelly and Lisa admiring a expensive diamond? Because it was to be stolen later by the ex-boyfriend of a girl Slater meets and "he would have gotten a way with it too if it wasn't for those meddling kids and that dumb"... oh wait a minute that's from Scooby-Doo. No if it wasn't for an old "3 Stooges routine" that Zack, Screech and Slater used to defeat the thief he would have stolen the diamond. And a special note they also used the same routine at the beginning of the movie to win a game of paint war. This is why I love that scene so much. I have always loved the idea of teamwork (which is why I like superheros so much I guess especially teams of superheros).

Now I am sure there are other questions that can be raised and then answered real easy but I can't think of any right now. But back to the movie. Okay after Zack's last outing as a bachelor with his two best friends he has dinner with his parents who are not happy he is getting married especially his dad (don't worry this will change). His mom tells him that she is happy for him but can't be there because she can't go against his father. She does give him free vouchers she won during poker night at Church.

They leave the next morning with the guys in Slater's vehicle and the girls in Lisa's car. They are driving down the road and discussing exactly what they should be discussing. The guys were talking about action heroes, sport stars and swimsuit models. The girls were discussing the wedding. They get separated and a bet is made of who can get to Las Vegas first. But strategy struck and the girls had a broken down car while the guys were put in jail for grand theft auto.

The girls are rescued by a stranger who will be very important to the plot later. And the guys get out of jail at the price of $1200 which leaves them only $43 dollars between them. They try to earn the money back by being golf caddies and it doesn't work. Zack and Screech get jobs as male escorts. Seriously, Zack is on his date with a Russian girl at the same time he has dinner with Kelly. Uh-oh, trouble. Screech is forced to tango with a lady in a pink limo whose horn plays "Dixie"   While all of this is happening Slater is on a date with a girl he meets (the one I mention earlier) and this leads to the movie's main plot. Stopping the jewel thief from taking the diamond. Okay, they don't actually try to stop the heist they just simply try to run away from the thief's bodyguards after Slater punches the guy out.

This leads to a huge chase scene that begins after Zack confesses everything to Kelly which leads to her forgiving him and them finding out about the planned heist. The chase scene ends after Zack, Slater, Screech, and the girl all had a stunt as Vegas Show Girls. The guy that Lisa and Kelly met earlier in the movie is the son of the hotel's owner. He leads the thief to the diamond he wants and after that "3 Stooges Routine" I mention already he ends up lock in the safe with his body guards and they are later arrested (I assume because it was reported but them being arrested was never shown.

Finally, it is time for the wedding, sort-of. They go to a cheap chapel to be married by the guy who gave Zack a job as a male escort which got him into a lot of trouble. And just as they are about to be announced as husband and wife, Zack's parents walk in to announce they had a change of heart and would like to throw them the wedding of their dreams and that is exactly what they got.

Finally there is a wedding and as the minister is about to talk about Zack and Kelly he is interrupted by a very late Jessie. Yeah that's right, Jessie isn't even in this movie until the very end but you know Jessie is always late for weddings (She was late for her father's wedding too). Well the next scenes includes the reception and the exit.

In the reception scene, Zack and Kelly talk to a lot of the characters that had been on the show in the past. This is includes Jessie who threatens Zack if he doesn't take good care of Kelly; Alex who was a roommate of theirs in college; Mike who Zack gives permission to come to their apartment once a week and yell at them for being to messy which he replies with "Count on it"; Mr. Belding who Zack tells he made High School challenging and they hug them (number two between him and Zack I believe) and finally we meet Kelly's mom (she never once makes an appearance in the show but we also never meet Slater's mom (and no that one episode where Zack pays a woman to pretend to be his mom doesn't count because she wasn't his mother). We never meet Jessie's mom although we do hear her in one episode and we never meet Screech's dad although he is reference a lot). We actually see her first when the wedding scene begins but she doesn't speak until the reception scene. Zack talks to his dad here and learns that his dad is proud of him. He is also call Zachary for the first time since he was a kid.

Okay there is one thing about the reception scene I want to mention. There is a scene of a girl grabbing a glass of (I assume wine) and walking away with someone else. This girl was on a show hosted by Mario Lopez (Slater) called "Name Your Adventure" where he and two others would take kids on adventures where they would learn about something they had always been interested in. In this case, the girl I believe wanted to be a producer and since filming of Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas was going on at the time they took her to the set where they were going to be filming the reception and they gave this girl a small part in the movie as a gift. She was able to meet the cast and producers and the show's creator Peter Engel. I just thought people would like to know that.

Well now time for the exit scene. I call it this because I don't know what else to call it. They invite people to come over but not all at once (well this actually happens in the reception scene I think). They do tell Screech they want him to come over but to call first and they say buy to Lisa who is going off to the Indian Reservation with that guy they met at the beginning of the movie. And Slater tells everyone that the girl he met is coming back to LA with him. She apologizes for the trouble she caused them and they say it is okay that at least they got a new friend. And that Screech thing I mention well guess who catches the briquet. And the lady he had to escort shows up and wants a second chance with him. She chases him while the new married couple ride off in a limousine ending the movie.

Well I love this movie and I am not going to give it a bad review because I can't. I don't see any problems with it. When you are a fan of a show, you are more than likely going to have problems doing a good review of it or anything like it because you are bias when it comes to it so I'll end this review with the one thing I think is wrong with it: They don't mention that Screech works at Bayside. When he returns to school (they even mention why he is gone in one episode) he brags about being the best man in this wedding. They should have mention him working there but was it really crucial to the plot, no so they should have but it wasn't really necessary.

Okay that is the end of this review. Now time for some announcements, One, next month is "Saved  by the Bell" Month where I will be reviewing all five seasons of the show. Now technically there are only four but they divided up the show into five by splitting the third into two because by then the show was so popular that it was airing twice on Saturdays (and practically every hour during the week and this isn't a joke that's just how popular the show was). Two, I will soon be starting my research on my series of reports on Holidays which will begin with Halloween and end with Easter. Now these reports won't be every week. They will be posted on or around that holiday. So look for the first one at the end of the next month. That's all.

Bite Me v.7 Chapter 12 Part 4 of 5

Michelle arrives at school and spots Athena immediately.

            “Hey Athena,” she said.

“My queen,” she said as if she was in a trance.

“Uh what’s wrong with you?” asked Michelle.

They blink their eyes and come out of the trance.

“I’m sorry,” apologized Athena, “We went through some changes recently.”

“What kind of changes?” asked Michelle.

“The kind you caused,” said Athena

“I caused?” she asked, “What do you mean?”

“Do you remember that strange occurrence at that tent meeting?” asked Athena.

“Yeah,” said Michelle, “the roof collapsed injuring a lot of people.”

“Right,” said Athena, “Well I was there and so was my cousin. And we were taken to a clinic where we were given  a blood transfusion. Blood you donated earlier that day. Last night after you didn’t call so we could join you on your hunt for vampires, we went out on our own and ended up dead.”

“Dead?” asked Michelle, “but you’re here talking to me right now.”

            “Exactly,” said Athena.

“But that means,” said Michelle, “you’re a vampire.”

“Right,” said Athena, “and it is your fault.”

“How is it my fault?” asked Michelle, continuing trying to play the dumb one.

“Because you are a vampire queen who made us what we are and now we are obligated to serve you,” said Athena.

“Really?” asked Michelle, who then said, “Would you have died if you hadn’t gone out on a hunt by yourselves?”

“I don’t think we would have but you didn’t call us,” said Athena, “So it is your fault.”

“I had good reason for that,” said Michelle, “I thought it would be too dangerous for you to be out with me. I am now a target of vampires everywhere and you could have died if you were with me.”

“Well I died anyway,” said Athena, “At least you told me after I took my last breath to lay low after I completed my transition.”

“Athena?” asked Michelle, “Will you go with me to the girls’ room and have this conversation with me there? I’m afraid it will draw a crowd if we had it here.”

“Is that an order my queen?” asked a sarcastic Athena.

“If it means you will do it then yes it’s an order,” said Michelle.

“Then I will do it,” said Athena whose tone immediately changed.

            “Thank-you,” said Michelle.
