Bite Me v.7: Chapter 3: Part 3 of 4

The Cave…

“So everything is finally in place for Michelle to become a vampire queen,” said Victoria, “Only for it to be stripped away from her just like a snap when I personally drive a stake into her heart and claim her territory as my own.”

The next Morning @ 5:00…

David walks into Michelle’s room and wakes her up.

“Alright Michelle,” said David, “time to get up and begin your Vampire Hunting Training.”

“Ah, dad,” said Michelle who turn over and tries to go back to sleep.

“You are the one who wanted to do this,” said David, “Now get up. Your mom is fixing you a nice healthy breakfast to give you the energy to begin your training.”

“Okay,” said a groggy Michelle, “Give me five minutes and I’ll be right down.”

“Alright,” said David who exits the room.

Five Minutes Later…

Michelle comes running down the stairs ready to eat breakfast.

“Good morning,” said Mary, “Breakfast is almost ready. Fix you some juice and milk and get ready to eat.”

“What are we having today?” asked Michelle.

“Eggs, sausage and biscuits,” said Mary.

            “Hmm,” said Michelle, “Smells good.”

After Breakfast...

“Now Michelle,” instructed David, “Go upstairs and put on your best workout clothes because Day 1 of your training will be strictly workout exercises. And pack a change of clothes afterwards because you will be showering before we leave to come home.”

“Yes, sir,” said Michelle who runs upstairs to her room.

6:30 A.M. …

“Okay,” said David, “Let’s go to the gym now. We have to leave now because it takes 30 minutes to get there.”

            “Yes, sir,” said Michelle.

7:00 A.M.; the Gym …

They arrived and immediately go inside.

“Okay,” said David, “First things first. I want you to do 20 laps around the gym floor.”

            “Alright dad,” said Michelle.

She begins circling the gym floor and David follows. Michelle was going at a mediocre pace which did not make David happy.

            “Michelle, sweetie,” he said.

“Yes, dad?” she replied while stopping her run.

“No, no,” he said keep going, “But run a little faster. I’ve seen how fast you come down the stairs for dinner so I know you can run fast and speed is something that will be very important when you face your first vampire. Understand?”

“Yes, sir,” said Michelle who went back to running but picked up her pace just a little bit.

            “That’s my girl,” said David.

One hour later; Gymnastics Room…

“Okay,” said David, “I want you to start running around start doing a lot of flips and somersaults are anything you think you will be able to do.”

“And why is this important?” asked Michelle.

“There may be a situation where it will be necessary to avoid anything and everything thrown at you and this will help develop that skill,” said David, “It’s one thing to know when a presence is nearby but another thing completely to avoid their attacks before lurching one yourself.”

            “I understand,” said Michelle.

She begins run around the matt performing various stunts and does so for about 10 minutes.

“Okay, Michelle,” said David, “That’s enough; I want you to take a 15 minute break before we continue.”

“Good,” said Michelle, “Because I need to go to the bathroom.”

She runs into the girls’ dressing room. After using the toilet, she walks over to the sink to wash her hand and looks up in the mirror and sees something strange looking back at her.

“Wait what?” she asks as she turns away and then looks again and sees herself, “Phew that was close. If I didn’t know any better I would think a vampire was looking back at me.”

She dries her hands off and exits the girls’ locker room. When David sees her he immediately knows something is disturbing her.

            “What’s wrong?” he asks.

            “Nothing,” she replies.

            “Seriously, what’s wrong?” asked David.

“Nothing,” insists Michelle, “I’m fine. What’s next on the agenda?”

“Let’s go to the boxing ring for some hand-to-hand sparing,” said Michelle, “I’ll also teach you some tricks to how to overcome your opponent.”
