Bite Me v.7 Chapter 2: Part 3 of 5

Site of Group gathering…

Jessica appears in another puff of pink smoke but invisible to crowd. With a wave of her hands she makes all the injured and those tending to their needs disappear.

The Blood Donor Clinic…

The two hundred fifty people appeared in the clinic lying on tables ready to receive blood. When Judy sees this, she is glad.

“I better get to work,” she said, “I hope I have enough blood for this many people.”

She begins hooking up the injured to the bags of blood she took from Michelle. She was about five bags short.

Darn,” she thought to herself, “I don’t have enough for this many people. I’m going to have to get more.

She leaves the bedside of a young girl who was about 10 and whose mother was by her side.

“Hey,” said the mother, “My daughter needs a blood transfusion. Where do you think you are going?”

“I’m sorry,” said Judy, “But I’m out of blood at the moment. I need to go and collect some more before I can continue.”

“Then take my blood,” said the mother.

“I can’t,” said Judy, “I won’t have time to process and filter it before putting it in your daughter.”

“Where are you planning on getting blood from then?” asked the mother, “A vampire?”

“Oh don’t be silly,” said Judy, “vampires aren’t real.”

“But my daughter will die if she doesn’t get a blood transfusion soon,” said the mother.

“Mam,” said Judy, “I assure you. No patient has ever died in this clinic and your daughter will not be the first.”

“I don’t think you understand,” said the mother, “my daughter is special.”

“Mam,” said Judy, “All the kids that were injured tonight are special.”

“But my little girl is especially special because she is not from this world,”
 said the mom.

Judy stands there just staring at the woman and looks at the girl and wonders to herself, “Where could this girl be from that would require her to especially need blood this quickly that she would die if she needed get it this quick?”

            Then it dawns on her.

            Mermaids!” she thought to herself.

And idea occurs to her that she is sure to please the queen.

“Don’t worry,” said Judy, “I just remembered that I have some blood in storage. I’ll be right back.

She exits the room and enters the elevator. She exits in the cave and heads for the center room. When she arrives she approaches the throne and bows before the queen.

“Judy,” said Victoria, “shouldn’t you be up there transfusing Michelle’s blood into those injured people.”

            “I ran out,” said Judy.

“Well then I suggest you go collect more,” said Victoria.

“Well that is what I came to do kind of,” said Judy, “Kind of.”

“Kind of?” asked Victoria, “What do you mean kind of?”

“There is one patient in particular that needs blood now or she will die,” said Judy.

“Well then go and get the blood you need from Michelle right now,” said Victoria.

“The problem is, my queen,” said Judy, “the patient is a mermaid, I believe, and so is her mother.”

“So what you mean is if she is given ‘vampire blood’ she can’t ever return home,” said Victoria, “Do it anyway?”

“Which brings me to why I came to you my queen,” said Judy, “if you will allow me to explain.”

            “Go ahead,” ordered Victoria.

“I think you should be the one to supply her with the blood,” said Judy, “If you supply her with the blood then when she dies and becomes a vampire, she’ll be loyal to you and not Michelle.”

“And why would I want her to be loyal to me just because she’s a mermaid now?” asked Victoria, “Because she can’t return to Atlantis even after becoming a vampire.”

“My queen,” said Judy, “you have a way around such rules as that.”

She eyes the bottle sitting next the throne. Victoria follows her glance and then smiles.

“I see what you mean,” said Victoria.

“So may I use your blood to transfuse into her?” asked Judy.

“Certainly,” said Victoria who put forth her arm while Judy did the proper procedures to take it out.

When she had enough blood to fill up a bag she exits the room.

Author's note: I hope you are enjoying the chapter so far. Part 4 will be up as plan on Thursday and the conclusion of the chapter on Friday. Both at 8 in morning. Okay, I want to explain something. The "Group Gathering" was originally supposed to be a Tent Revival. I changed it because I felt it would be wrong to have something like this (People being turned into vampires) to happen at a revival meeting. So I changed it to be called a group gathering. What exactly the group was involved in will be revealed in a later chapter. Thanks for reading and commenting.
