Bite Me v.7 Chapter 2 Part 5 of 5

Back at the clinic...

“Uh why did you say she’ll be in that cell for only 24 hrs. when the blood will still be in her when the time expires?” asked the mother.

“Because the spell will be cast on her by the magical source I mention earlier while she sleeps and when she wakes up,” explains Judy, “she’ll be able to return to Atlantis with no problem at all.”

“Okay,” said the mother, “but before you drop me off in a cell may I have a peaked into hers so I can know as a mother that she is okay?”

“That should not be a problem at all,” said Judy, “By the way, what are your names?”

“Oh,” said the mother, “My name is Wanda and her name is Wendy.”

“Well, Wanda,” said Judy, “just wait right there for a minute until I can get you an escort to the dungeon cells and then you will be taken to one. Okay?”

            “Okay,” said Wanda.

Judy walks off thinking, “Of course I have no intention of letting either of you return to Atlantis until you are loyal to my queen.”

She walks over to another patient to check on his status. He is another one who didn’t get any blood transfused into him. He was however awake which surprised Judy.

“How are you doing young man?” asked Judy.

“I’m feeling fine,” said the young man, “never been better.”

Judy looks up at the monitor to check his status.

“That’s strange,” said Judy, “The monitor says your blood count is at normal human blood levels. How is that possible? Unless…”

“I’m not human?” asked the young man, “Well it just so happens that you are right. I am not human. I’m a dragon. And all I needed to fix my blood problem is to warm up my blood and that is what I did. So may I go?”

“Uh, yeah,” said Judy who then thought to herself, “Well that is one less vampire now. I hope the queen isn’t displeased with me for not turning him.”

The checks the remaining three patients who have yet to receive blood transfusions and is surprised to learn that only one of them is pure human and she was dying and fast.

“Oh no,” she said, “I have to save her life now if she’s going to become a vampire.”

She bites her wrist and feeds her blood to the girl. When the injuries healed and she was fully alert Judy immediately compels her to sleep. She allows the remaining patients who were the last to be given vampire queen blood to leave. The early recipients were released already.  The remaining two who were not given transfusion became a fairy and a werewolf respectively and left on their own without much attempt to stop them from Judy. Especially in the case of the werewolf where a wolf bite could kill her instantly. She picks up the sleeping body of the human girl and begins to carry her out of the clinic instructing Wanda to follow her to the dungeon cells.

 Dungeon Cells…

Judy walks in a cell carrying the still sleeping human girl. She lays her in a bed and pulls the cover over her. Wanda waits for her outside the cells. When Judy exits the cell she closes the door.

“This way please,” said Judy who leads Wanda to the next available cell. When they arrive, Judy opens the door and instructs Wanda to walk in.

“Wait,” said Wanda, “You promised I could look in on my daughter.”

            “Alright,” said Judy, “Follow me.”

Judy leads Wanda down the hall to another cell where Wanda’s daughter, Wendy was kept in. Wanda peeks in and sees her daughter sleeping soundly and it calm her nerves.

“Thank you,” said Wanda, “for allowing me to be a mother in this moment.”

“No problem,” said Judy, “Now back to your cell.”

“How did you know which cell my daughter was in?” asked Wanda as they walked back to her cell.

“This is how,” said Judy showing Wanda the name on the door to her cell.

“Oh,” said Wanda, “How did that get there? I mean it wasn’t there before.”

“When you stepped in earlier the name appeared automatically,” said Judy, “These dungeon cells are enchanted to read the auras of the prisoners and place their names on the doors.”

“Well how does it know not to change the name every time someone enters when there is already someone inside?” asked Wanda.

“Well the same enchantment also prevents the prisoner from leaving without permission,” explains Judy, “and only vampires are allowed to enter once a prisoner is inside.”

“I see,” said Wanda who enters the cell again, “I guess I see you in about 24 hours to be rerelease into the world.”

She goes to the bed and lies down.

I don’t see returning in your near future, Wanda,” thought Judy, who then said, “Oh by the way, don’t try to contact your world from inside the cell. Because the enchantment also blocks powers of other supernatural creatures and any attempt to contact Atlantis could cause instant death.”

            “I understand,” said Wanda.

Judy walks down the hall of the dungeon and takes the elevator back up to the cave floor. She then walks to the center room where Queen Victoria’s throne sits. When she enters the room, she approaches and bows before the queen.

“Well is everything going according to plan?” asked the queen.

“There have been a few snags along the way but out of the 250 injured,” said Judy, “246 are guaranteed to become vampires and loyal to Michelle when they die.”
“Good,” said Victoria, “But what about the other 4?”

“Well as I told you earlier one is a mermaid and she is set to become loyal to you when she dies and changes,” said Judy.

“Good,” said Victoria, “Once she is turned I’ll have Jessica enchant her with the ability to return to Atlantis.”

“And what about her mom?” asked Judy, “She has rogue blood in her. Would you like me to kill her so she can be turned too so she can be given the loyalty test.”

“Ah, the loyalty test,” said Victoria, “That is a brilliant idea but what about those other three?”

“Oh yeah,” said Judy, “One was a werewolf; another a dragon and the third, a fairy. Two of them escaped before I could get to them, but the third, the dragon, managed to heal himself. Which leaves the fourth of those final victims, she’s a human girl. I have her asleep in one of the dungeon cells. She’s the only one who remains that can still be made part of Michelle’s clan. Do you want me to go and get blood from her to put in this girl or do you want to do something else?”

“Yes,” said Victoria, “go and get blood from Michelle and put it into the girl. The more powerful a vampire queen, she becomes the more mightily a victory it will be for me when she falls.”

“I understand,” said Judy who fades from sight.

Preview of Chapter Three:

Michelle’s House…

Judy fades back into sight and rings the doorbell. Mary answers.

“Yes, what can I do for you?” asked Mary.

“Um,” said Judy, “Yes, my name is Judy from the Mid-town Donor Clinic and I need to see your daughter.”

            “What’s this about?” asked Mary.

“Well there was a huge accident at a Group gathering and 250 people needed blood transfusion,” explained Judy, “We only had enough for 245 and we need some more.”

Author's Note: Well that concludes another chapter. Chapter 3 will be up next week. It will be a four-parter. Please enjoy.
