Victoria’s Cave…[U1]
Athena and Aphrodite begin to awake.
When they look around they see they are in a cave and believe it is their own
until they see who is sitting on the throne.
“How did we get here?” asked Athena.
“I had you brought here,” said
Victoria, “because I have an offer you can’t refuse.”
“No, said Aphrodite, “we’ll never
take an offer from you, monster.”
“I’m no more a monster than you
are,” said Victoria.
“Well the answer is no,” said
Athena.
“No?” asked Victoria, “without
hearing it you are just going to say no like that?”
“Yes,” they said in unison.
“Fine,” said Victoria, “have it your
way but I was just going to offer you a chance to join my clan and then return
to your old cave and stage a mutiny against your queen. Who knows it might just
mean one of you ends up with her heart.”
“Why would we want to do that to
Michelle?” asked Aphrodite.
“Yeah,” said Athena, “she’s been a
good queen to us.”
“Really?” asked Victoria, “will a
good queen force you to drink blood from a bag instead of a neck.”
“Uh,” said Athena, “she does that to
prevent herself from looking like a hypocrite.”
“Or so she says,” said Victoria,
“did she not slay some in her clan early on?”
“Yeah,” said Aphrodite, “but she did
not know she was a queen at the time and those vampires deserved it.”
“but why did they deserve it?” asked
Victoria.
“She has a point,” said Athena.
“If you join my clan you will then
be free to drink directly from human necks whenever you like, day or nighttime,
said Victoria.
The two cousins look at each other.
“I’ll do it if you will,” said
Aphrodite.
“Where would you like me to drink my
queen?” asked Athena who approaches the throne.
Victoria puts forth both arms and
says, “here, both of you, come and drink from my wrists.”
They approach, bite, and drink and
soon they became loyal to Victoria instead of Michelle.
“What is our first assignment my
queen,” asked Athena.
“Go about your day as normal and as
if you are still loyal to her,” said Victoria, “I assume there is a time she
wants you in her cave.”
“Yes,” said Athena, “she said to
meet her in the cave at 8:00.”
“Then go and be in her cave by 8:00
tonight,” instructed Victoria.
“Yes, my queen,” said the two
cousins in unison.
They exit the cave.
Resting so comfortably on the table
her body was laid on Michelle wakes up suddenly having died 12 hours earlier
and then went right back to sleep. Guards were watching her and notice
movement.
“Mam,” said one of the guards into a
transmitter, “She has awakened. I think she was so comfortable that she went
right back to sleep.
“Good,” said Agent #2, “this means
she’s back. Check for a pulse to make she still has a heartbeat.”
The guard checks for a pulse and
finds it to be normal.
“It’s good,” he said.
“That’s great,” said Agent #2, “Keep
an eye on her and let us know when she fully wakes up.”
“Yes, mam,” said the guard.
Victoria’s Cave…[U3]
Athena and Aphrodite approach the
throne and bow before Victoria.
“How did it go in Michelle’s cave
last night?” she asked.
“My queen,” said Athena, “she never
showed up.”
“What?” asked Victoria, “A queen
never misses a gathering of her clan unless she’s been killed.”
“If she was killed then wouldn’t her
clan be dead too?” asked Aphrodite.
“Only if it was with a stake,” said
Victoria, “but I’m talking about death in the same way a human can be killed.
I’m talking about shot, stabbed, strangled, drowned, hanged, electrocuted,
poison and dropped from a high building; those kinds of deaths.
“But wouldn’t that just turn her
into a normal vampire?” asked Athena.
“No,” said Victoria, “it would just
make her so she can’t be killed in that way again.”
“It would make her stronger,” said
Athena.
“Exactly,” said Victoria.
“But who would want to make her a
stronger queen?” asked Aphrodite, “Because wouldn’t making her stronger also
make her more dangerous?”
“Yes,” said Victoria, “I can think
of only one group who would want Michelle to be a strong vampire queen.”
“Who?” asked Athena.
“The American Vampire-Slaying
Association,” said Victoria.
“Why would they want her stronger
when it is their mission to slay vampires not strengthen them?” asked
Aphrodite.
“Because they have been trying to slay me for years and I’ve
always eluded them,” said Victoria, “and because Michelle is still a dedicated
vampire slayer despite being a queen,
they believe she is the key to destroying me.”
“We will not allow that to happen,”
said Athena.
“I know you want,” said Victoria, “I
know you are loyal to me now and will be the key to her destruction.”
“Well what is our bidding now my
queen?” asked Aphrodite.
“Return home,” said Victoria, “and
prepare to go to school like you normally would. Also if you see Michelle at
school act as if you do not know what is going on and don’t talk about what
might have happen to her unless she mentions it. And if she gives an order to
you as a queen do it as if you are still a part of her clan.”
“Yes, my queen,” said the two
cousins in unison.
