“Dear Diary,” wrote Michelle, “Well
I’ve gathered my clan together and now a Vampire slaying organization wants me
to take out a fellow queen, which I am happy to do. But my main focus right now
is to get to work on my studies. I missed school today and to maintain my cover
I need to attend as much as possible.”
She pauses.
“I was asked today if I had any
urges for blood,” wrote Michelle, “I didn’t know I could get the urges
considering I’m still a living-breathing human. I do get fangs when I become the
queen by entering the cave but I don’t believe I get any urges.”
She pauses again.
“Oh, diary,” wrote Michelle, “it is
getting really hard to stay human. You know I just now realized I haven’t done
any slaying tonight. Maybe I should go out. It might strengthen the human in me
to do so.”
She closes her diary and exits the
room. She runs downstairs.
“Dad,” she said, “I’m going out to
hunt vampires.”
“Are you sure it is safe to do
that?” asked David.
“I’m trying to maintain some
humanity,” said Michelle, “and this is what I was doing before the vampire
queen in me awaken. I have to try to hold on to that before being the queen is
all I am and live for.”
“Okay,” said David, “but be
careful.”
“I will,” said Michelle, who then
exits the house.
“Well, well, well,” said a vampire,
“what do we have here?”
“Looks to me like someone thinks
she’s a slayer,” said another vampire.
“I am a slayer,” said Michelle,
pulling out a stake.
“Oh would you look at that,” said
the first vampire, “She even has a stake in her hand.”
“Apparently you haven’t heard who I
am,” said Michelle, “I’m Michelle Van Helsing as in the Van Helsing.”
“You’re right,” said the second
vampire, “We haven’t heard of you. But you know what I sure am thirsty for
slayer blood. Do you know how many slayers we’ve killed in the last month?”
“Dozens,” said the first vampire,
“and adding you to the list would be just as nice.”
“They
think they can kill me by drinking by blood,” thought Michelle, “but my blood is eternal. And because I am a
queen it will make them loyal to me. It might not be a bad idea to allow this.”
“If you want to drink my blood,”
said Michelle, “You are going to have to fight me one on one. First to
body-slam their opponent three times wins. You up for the challenge?”
“Sure,” said the first vampire, “but
I hate the idea that I’m physically stronger than you human.”
“Don’t think I can do it?” asked
Michelle.
“No,” said the first vampire, “I
don’t.”
“Well you won’t know for sure unless
you accept the challenge,” said Michelle.
“First to three body-slams huh?”
asked the first Vampire, “Okay, let’s do it.”
They lock hands and with much effort
Michelle managed to pick up the vampire and body-slam him.
“I lead 1-0,” said Michelle.
The vampire gets up feeling
embarrassed and they locked hands again. This time however Michelle loosens her
arms and the vampire manages to get the best of her and body-slams her.
“Well looks like the score is now
1-1,” said the first vampire.
“Yes, it is,” said Michelle, “tell
me are you by chance a rogue vampire?”
“Yes, I am,” said the first vampire,
“We both are. We tried that ‘being loyal to the queen thing’ and it didn’t work
out. When the year was up we were allowed to leave the clan and we’ve been on
our own since.”
“Yeah,” said the other vampire,
“besides a queen does nothing but decrease our natural strength. We’ve been
much stronger since going rogue. That’s why so many slayers have bite the
dust.”
They lock hands again. Michelle
again loosens her arms and allows herself to be body-slam.
“The score is now 2-1,” said the
other vampire, “If I didn’t know better, I’ll say you were letting him win.”
“Maybe I am,” said Michelle.
“But why?” asked the vampire she was
fighting, “Why give me the advantage unless you want me to drink your blood.”
Michelle smiles as they lock
hands and then body-slams the opponent.
“We’re tied now,” said Michelle.
“Yeah,” said the vampire, “we are. I
hope your blood taste good to make this victory worth it.”
“Oh trust me,” said Michelle, “you
will love the way my blood taste and if you knew why you would be begging me to
let you drink some right now.”
“Why’s that?” asked the vampire.
“Look up and find out,” said
Michelle.
The vampire looks up at the horizon
and notices a little bit of daylight occurring.
“Wait a minute,” said the vampire,
“It can’t almost be time for the sunrise. It just set two hours ago.”
“Well you better hurry up and
body-slam me,” said Michelle, “So you can drink my blood and avoid the fate
rogues usually face with a rising sun.”
“Drink your blood and avoid the fate
of the rising sun,” repeated the vampire, “You’re a queen!”
“That’s right,” said Michelle who
then picks him up and body-slams him, “Oh wait, too late. I win the match.
She looks up at the rising sun and
suddenly it goes back down.
“How did you do that?” asked the
vampire.
“I also acquired witch’s magic
recently,” said Michelle, “How is not really important? What is important is
you have two choices. Both of you do. You can both drink my blood and join my
clan or I can stake you. And two if you choose the latter I promise to make
your deaths very painful by making the sun rise early so your bodies can burn.
And if you become indecisive then I will just make it rise anyway to make you
burn without a stake in the heart. So what will it be?”

Victoria’s
Vampire Cave…
“My queen,” said Judy, “I have a
report concerning your two Atlantisian vampires. And I don’t think you will
like it.”
“What’s going on?” asked Victoria.
“They’ve created a new vampire for
your clan,” said Judy.
“And why would I not like that when
it makes me a stronger queen?” asked Victoria.
“They plan according to my sources,”
said Judy, “to turn a young Atlantisian couple into rogue vampires so they can
have a child, Atlantis’ first vampire Queen.”
“I see what you mean,” said
Victoria, “and you are right. I don’t like the sound of this.
“What would you like me to do?”
asked Judy.
“Take some a small army of vampires
with you,” said Victoria, “and travel to Atlantis and inform Wendy that I am
ordering her to not go through with this. Any vampire she creates must me as
she is and loyal to me.”
“And if she doesn’t comply?” asked
Judy.
“If she doesn’t comply,” said
Victoria, “Bring her to me so she can be properly punished.”
“I understand,” said Judy.
