Bite Me v.7 Chapter 19 Part 4 of 4

Just as she thought, Michelle was back facing the two rogues. This time however she was fully aware of the time loop she was trapped in and knew she needed to really act fast in order to end it. And the first order of business was taking care of the two rogues. She instantly without hesitating stabbed the two in the hearts turning them into piles of dust and then picked up the stakes and quickly headed for the ocean to stop Judy and her gang before they enter the water.

“Stop it right there!” shouted Michelle, “there is no way I am going to allow you to invade Atlantis.”

“Wait a minute,” said Judy, “where did you come from?”

“From the depths of your worst nightmares monster,” said Michelle.

            “Oh dear,” said Judy.

“Who are you?” asked one of the vampires.

“I’m your worst nightmare,” said Michelle.

“No, you are Michelle Van Helsing, vampire slayer and vampire queen, the very personification of the word ‘oxymoron’,” said Judy.

“I repeat,” said Michelle, “there is no way I’m going to allow you to invade Atlantis.”

“Invade?” asked Judy, “who said we were invading any place?”

“You are five vampires about to enter the water on your way there,” said Michelle, “am I not right?”

“Uh when did you become psychic?” asked a second vampire.

“The moment I started hunting you monsters for the purpose of getting rid of you,” said Michelle.

“No,” said Judy, “That’s not true. You used your access to witchcraft and turned back time didn’t you.”

“No,” said Michelle, “actually I didn’t. Not this time. Doing that is what triggered the time loop I was in. In seems you were right and nature always fights to keep the balance the way it is no matter how much we try to change it.”

“I never said that,” said Judy.

“You would have if I had rewind time so I could stop you from going to Atlantis but that wasn’t necessary because this time I got here before you did,” said Michelle, “And I am not going to allow you to invade than land. They need to be allowed to remained pure creatures of water. Vampires have no place in Atlantis.”

“If you know everything that has been said and done during your experience in the time loop then you would know that we’re not going to Atlantis to invade,” said Judy.

“Right,” said Judy, “because you’re not going at all.”

She lurches forward and stabs Judy in the heart and because the sunrise had occurred she began to instantly burned to ash. And seconds later so were her comrades. Afterwards she gets down on her knees and grabs her chest.

“I wonder if the time loop has ended,” said Michelle.

“It has,” said a voice Michelle recognizes.

            “Mom?” asked Michelle.

Mary appeared and then resumed human form.

“Yes, Michelle,” said Mary, “the time loop has ended. I hope you have learned your lesson about when to use and not to use magic.”

“I have but why did the time reversal I created trigger the time loop to begin with?” asked Michelle.

“Two reasons,” said Mary, “One, to teach you that lesson. And two, to allow you a chance to slay Judy and her four cohorts.”

“So they were on their way to invade Atlantis,” said Michelle.

“No,” said Mary, “they were on their way to Atlantis, yes, but not to invade. They were going there to stop the birth of an Atlantisian born Vampire Queen.”

“Wait,” said Michelle, “what? You mean I slayed them for no reason?”

“No,” said Mary, “slaying them was the right thing to do because if the people of Atlantis have embraced vampires in their city then they should be allowed to have a vampire queen if they so choose.”

“What do I do now?” asked Michelle.

“Go to school,” said Mary, “that is the only thing that is important at the moment.”

“Yes, mam,” said Michelle, who then heads back to town.

“Oh my dear child,” said Mary, “I’m afraid there is only one solution to the problems you are facing. You must be the vampire queen you were destined to become 24/7. That sweet little girl I raised is to be no more. I sure am going to miss her though.”

Victoria’s Cave…

Soon, it will be time to end Michelle’s short reign as queen and I will become…,” thought Victoria when she was suddenly hit with five shots of pain.

            “Ah!” she screams.

Other Vampires in cave quickly came to her aid.

“My queen,” said one of those vampires, “what is the matter?”

“I was just hit with five shots of pain in the chest,” said Victoria, “that can only mean one thing.”

            “What’s that?” asked the vampire.

“Five members of the clan have been slayed,” explained Victoria, “as you should know when a member of a clan is slayed it affects that clan’s queen.”

“Who were the five?” asked the vampire.

“I don’t know the names of those who serve me except for my top generals,” said Victoria, “And indeed one of them was slayed.”

            “Who?” asked the vampire.

            “Judy,” said Victoria.
