The Originals Season 2 Premiere Review

I just finished watching this episode and in my opinion it was okay. This show is strange in my opinion. I don't really know who to pull for. Last season was like this because there were four groups I could choose to pull for and each one was doing things that made it difficult for me to do so. And this season apparently is going to be no different. I like the show but I am going to find it difficult to pull for one group over another because no one except the humans are going to do things worthy to pull for them. It's just going to be hard to pull for the vampires when they are sneaking around and biting people's necks when they are trying to gain those same people's trust. And this is all of the season premieres I will do until probably Power Rangers Dino Charge next year. Pretty soon I will be finishing the fifth season of the Original Dallas and reviewing that. When I will be doing it is the question. Also I am on the next to last scheduled chapter of my story Bite Me. When I get these two chapters and more if necessary written plus an epilogue then I will be editing them and then posting them for you all to read. Until then.

Arrow Season 3 Premiere

Last night I watched and reviewed the series premiere of The Flash. There is a scene in the episode that included Oliver Queen. I didn't know how it will incorporate into tonight's premiere until I watched it and Barry calls Oliver and it sets up the premiere of the Flash (which by the way aired right after Arrow's premiere in an encore presentation.

I like the season premiere of Arrow. The flashbacks weren't that many but the current time story was really good and I like what might happen this season. They brought back Sara Lance just to kill her off apparently but it leads into the next episode so I'll wait and see what happens.

They are bringing in Ray Palmer this season. In the comics, he is the super hero known as the Atom who can shrink to the size of an atom. That character will be interesting to watch.

Overall this was a good premiere and I can't wait for future episodes.

The Flash Series Premiere

This show is awesome. Unlike Arrow, the show it is a spin-off of, it doesn't have a five year backstory to take up time as part of the plot. It clearly one hundred percent is an origin story and really good one too. One thing that attracted me to the show Smalleville was the inclusion of John Schider(warning this may be misspelled) from the Dukes of Hazzard. And same is said about this show. Having the actor who plays Detective West on this show was excellent choice. I am not sure of his name but he was on Law and Order where he played a detective and when ever I watch that show I always enjoyed his episodes.

Like I said I love the episode. It did a good job of telling the origins of the character and they were accurate based on my limited knowledge. I am definitely going to continue to watch this show until it ends. And the best part about it is, something actually happen in the episode to lead me to believe that I won't have to wait to the final 5 or 6 episodes to see something actually happen as far as plot is concern. Two shows on the CW in the past have failed to do this and they were not picked up for a second season. I'm hoping this show will. The next review will probably be The Originals but it may also be Arrow Season 3 premiere. I don't know yet. It just depends on what happens tomorrow. Until then, good-bye.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Premiere Review

Well I have now seen the season premiere of the Vampire Diaries. And it was a good one. I'm confused about some things. But I think they will play out as the season continues. There is one returning character that has me intrigued I hope his return doesn't end any time soon. And where did Damon and Bonnie go? Because it doesn't look like they are in the afterlife. But hey that will be explain this Thursday right?"

Well as I have said many times, vacation kept me from watching certain premieres when they aired including this one. This is why I watched it tonight and posting this review now. That being said, the next schedule premiere to watch and review should be The Originals but because it is Tuesday Night, the night of the premiere if The Flash. That will be my next review. And I will be changing my order to reflect this. That is all for now.

Once Upon a Time Season 4 Premiere Review

Well it is time for another review of a season premiere. This time the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. This year they are incorporating elements from the hit Disney animated film Frozen which I have seen and it is good.

Do to the unique storytelling nature of this show and how it expands the Disney animated classics, I am looking forward to how it will do this popular and loved film. It continues the storylines left open from the end of season 3 and starts new ones that appear to be interesting. I will have to wait and see what happens next.

I have one last thing to say. Starting with last season they have been doing 11 episode arches. Last season was divided into two of them and the same will be done this season. I think it is save to say that you could call each arch its own season making this season #5 instead of 4 but since this is officially season 4 I will call it that for this review and for the finale next may. And for now that is all I am going to say about this show until I have either purchased are received the season 3 box set and have watched it for the purpose of reviewing it. My next review will be on Vampire Diaries Season 6 premiere which is Thursday Night but due to vacation plans viewing the premiere and then reviewing it won't be until after I get back and that may not be until after the second episode airs. Until then...

Scorpion Series Premiere

I just watched the repeat airing of this premiere and I just love this show. Not since the late 70s early 80s has there been a program with little to no violence on it to save the day. Not one gun was drawn in this episode for the purpose of shooting and killing someone. There was one instance of someone pulling gun to shoot something open but it did not happen for safety reasons. I remember shows like CHiPs and the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries that very seldom used guns and violence to save the day. I'm not saying guns or bad and shouldn't be included in these type of shows but it shouldn't be the first option the main characters turn to. And considering the main characters in this show are all geniuses they don't have too.

This is a good show and if it continues on this little to no violence path and proves to be popular to viewers then I hope other programs will follow suit. I definitely recommend this show for anyone looking for a good drama to watch on TV.

Blue Bloods Season 5 Premiere

Ok, once again the premiere is good. It sets some things up that could be covered during the season and I like that. I find no problems with it at all. And this review is going to be really short because I don't have much to say.

Hawaii 5-O Season 5 Premiere

Well I just saw the premiere of this show and it was good. Set-up for this season is what was to be expected. Several storylines have been set-up but I wonder if they now going for the more serialize format where one episode leads to the next or if it is the same as the last four seasons. Having a new member on the team is a definite plus and it now makes the 5 in 5-O make more sense because they are a 5 member team and not a 4 member team. I can't wait until next week to see the next episode but due to vacation plans I might not see it until the following week but we'll see. But I give this premiere a good grade. I will now be watching the Blue Bloods season premiere and will be doing a review of it afterwards.

Agents of Sheild Season 2 Premiere

Well I almost forgot about this one. When I was looking over my schedule I saw it listed for earlier in the week. I just simply forgot to do this review. So what did I think about it? It was a good premiere. The setup for the season was good and I can't wait to see more. There was no follow up to what Coulson was doing at the end of Season 1 except someone was trying to decipher something that look like what he was writing but I don't really know if he was successful or what. I don't even really know if that was what he was looking at or not. There was one character missing although she was still in the conscious of another character who was severely brain damage at the end of last season. I didn't really understand what was going on except that she was not there for some reason or another. Other than those things, this was a good premiere and I can't wait for more. Again, the season premieres of Hawaii 5-O and Blue Bloods are tonight. I will be writing reviews for both shows this weekend. Until then good-night.

Current Dallas Season 3 Finale

I just got done watching this finale and I have no doubt there will be a season 4. There has to be. There are too many cliffhangers for it to just end but that's Dallas.

Okay now about that finale. I liked it. John Ross announcing he is worse than his father and then revealing he has a sister is a nice twist. I knew that Elena could get pregnant because of what Nicholas did but I was hoping that plan would backfire. I wasn't sure until now but I think he was also the one who made the car explode but I wasn't sure if Christopher was even in the vehicle. I guess I will find out next year. And Pamela declaring there is a war between her and the Ewings is not surprising. She is a Barns after all. There are just so many things good about this episode that I don't have anything negative to say. The resolutions of this season's storyline was great and set up for next season was good as well so here's to the new season if it has been renewed for season 4 that is and I don't know one way or the other but hopefully I will soon. Well that is all for this review. The next two reviews I will do will be on the season premieres of both Hawaii 5-O and Blue Bloods. You can also expect a review of the new show Scorpion as well. But that is all for now.

My September Update

So what has been going on with me lately? Well I have been trying to do two things during my free time. 1. watch a lot of the WWE Network which is only $9.99 a month and that is a lot to pay a month if you are only going to watch the pay-per-views each month so I am watching as much of it as I can including old episodes of Monday Nitro they have recently put up. New original programming they are airing on a weekly basis and old Pay-per-views that I never saw when I was little. 2. I have been writing on my story entitled Bite Me. As soon as I get done with it and edit the last 20 and maybe more chapters of the story I will start posting again. When that will be is anybody's guess. It might not start until next January meaning fans of the story will have to wait over a year to find out what happens next. I am working on one little story arc that is about to be wrapped up then I have at least one more after that before the story itself can end.

Also season  and series premieres will be starting soon. And I will be reviewing them as soon as I see them. I also have not gone and seen the Guardians of the Galaxy movie because I have decided to wait until it is out on DVD. As soon as I see it I will review it. I know I still haven't reviewed the original Dallas Season 5 and that is because I haven't finished watching it yet. Hopefully I will soon. I am also purchasing seasons of Power Rangers as they come out and watching them so that is putting a stop to watching Dallas until I get all of those seasons and episodes watched.

I will soon be changing up my schedule which will only be tentative when I get more ideas when season and series premieres are. That is all for now.

Update retraction

Okay, readers to those of you who are disappointed that I am not continuing my Bite Me story well I have some good news. I just completed chapter 30 and will begin chapter 31 real soon. That's right I have started back writing it. Why? Well ideas just started flooding to me last night and I decided to continue it and pretty soon I will be posting them. But they will not be split like they were last year and the schedule I had posted earlier in this year or late last year for the last 20 chapters will not be how it goes. Starting with Chapter 30 they will be in no more than two parts and will be posted at the beginning and end of each week. Only Chapters 21 through 29 will have multiple parts and will have ridiculously posting schedules. As too when I will start posting them, I don't know because I need to do some serious editing before I post them but I will let you know and maybe even post a preview or two.

Well outside of that the only other update to announce is, I'm an Uncle again! My little sister had a little girl this week and she is just so adorable. I have held her and pictures or up on my Facebook page for those who are friends with me can go see them. Now that is the end of my updates for now.

June Updates

Well I guess it is time for another update on what is going on what my future plans for this blog are. Please take note to the tags of this post because those are just some of the topics I will be covering today.

Bite Me v.7:

This story is officially indefinitely postpone for now. I have not written much on it for months and I had plan to start back posting chapters in July of this year. I have enough done to go at least nine weeks but I want the story completed before I post any more and I have lost interest in it at the moment. Therefore until I say otherwise, this story is over.

The Wicca Trap:

This is another idea I have tried to make work for a few years and like Bite Me it is heavily fantasy based but unlike Bite Me it has a hidden Christian Message I hope becomes clear after I start posting it. It focuses on the dangers of practicing witchcraft and what it could lead to. And I won't reveal more details than that.

Dallas Season Reviews:

I have started season 5 and will review it when I get done and any season after that will come when I purchase and view them. I don't know when that will be but when I can it will get done.

Season Premieres:

Some of the same shows that I review the season finales for will get season premiere reviews as well. When I get exact dates I will update the schedule to include them when we get closer to time of the premieres. This goes for several series premieres that I will be looking at such as the Flash and Girl Meets World which is this week.

Well that is all I have for now. Another update will be coming soon more than likely. Oh and my little sister is having a baby real soon and I am so excited to be an uncle again.

The Original Dallas Series Season 4 Review

Well I just finished watching Season 4 of the original Dallas. But before I give my thoughts on the season I won't say that late last month marked one year of having this blog and over the course of this year I have over 160 posts. I don't think that's too bad. Well Happy Late Anniversary to all of my loyal readers who just love my ramblings. And I promise you there will be more to come real soon. Now on to the review.

Perhaps I should note that this season did not get off to a good start due to the SAG strike that occurred at that time. Now I was just a mere little boy and did not know what was going on at the time and didn't care I guess. And my family didn't start watching the show until years later so I haven't really seen these early seasons until now. That being said this strike definitely didn't help with the start of the season because when it did begin everyone was watching to find out who shot J.R. Ewing only to find out that the revelation will not occur until episode 4. And for the record I do know that it was Sue Ellen's little sister Kristen who did it.

This show at the time continues to be in my opinion not a soap opera but a serialized family drama. Now or they not the same thing you ask. No they are not. I don't see families watching shows like "Young and the Restless," or "Days of Our Lives," or "General Hospital." No it isn't a Soap Opera yet or as the more proper term for is called "Primetime Soap." It's not there yet. The episodes look to me to still be self-contained with the occasional two-part episodes. There are indeed storylines that carry over from episode to episode but most of the storylines are solved by the end of the season with one or two cliff-hangers for the next. I know at some point it gets to where an episode will end with a freeze frame and the very next episode will pick up from that point and move forward. But when that happens while I'm viewing these seasons I will make a note about it in my blog.

Did I enjoy this season? Yes. Did I like Bobby Ewing running the company? Yes. Am I looking forward to watching Season 5? Yes. And as far as the storylines go it was really all a matter of solving one little problem that occurred the previous season which almost caused another but fortunately for J.R. it didn't.

Well that is all I have to say so until next time. Oh and I will also be reviewing the first episode of "Girl Meets World" when it premiers on the Disney Channel.

A Review of G. I. Joe: Retaliation

This is a really good movie although I don't think a lot of fans of the 80s cartoon believes so. But before a talk about this movie I'm going to list three things about the first movie that I think wraps it up in a nut shell:

1. An origin story of Duke
2. A origin story of the rivalry between Snake eyes and Storm Shadow
3. "Knowing is half the battle"

And I am not kidding about that last one. It is said in the first film constantly. And where does it come from? The PSAs from the 80s cartoon. That's right. The one part I actually love about the cartoon when I actually got to see it was what was used the most in GI Joe: Rise of Cobra. And I think it was over done too.

Okay, now on to the sequel. I love it. I love it more than I did the first one and the cast did a good job portraying the characters. It had a good plot and even better character development.

Well that is it for the review of this movie. I will now be going back to review seasons of the original Dallas series beginning with Season 4. I only have 4 and 5 to go because I only have up to Season 5 plus the two movies but when I can purchase the other seasons I will view and review them until next time.

The Arow Season 1 Box Set Review

Re-watching these episodes and having just recently completed the second season puts things in a whole new perspective. This is a good show. I can't wait to the third season as well as the first season of The Flash.

As far as the first season, it is a good set-up for the story. Oliver Queen had a mission to accomplish when he returned from five years on an island. He didn't learn what that mission is until the end and he actually fails to stop what was being planned by someone he knows.

All I can say is the first season is a good first season. My next review will be on the GI Joe sequel.

The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Finale Review

Well I have just watched the last of the finales. And it was good. Sad but good. The cliffhanger should keep fans wondering all summer. And the fact that two main characters may not be back because of what happen is interesting. I can't wait until the fall season but to have a few months where I have nights free to do something other than watch these shows is a relief. Of course I have some things to watch this summer but just two or three programs. Well my next review will be on the first season of Arrow. I only have three more episodes to watch so it should be out soon then it will be the second GI Joe movie and it is back to the original seasons of Dallas.

Arrow Season 2 Finale Review

Well I have seen the finale of the second season of Arrow and it was good. Again like the other finales I have reviewed, the storyline for the season was wrapped up as was the second year on the island. And there was a good set up for next season.

This finale went all out to defeat the big bad and they were successful in doing so. Some things were a surprise but worked out like they were suppose to. I can't wait until next season. My final finale review will be on the Vampire Diaries which airs tomorrow night. Also the review for Arrow Season 1 is coming soon. I am now on the last disk of the set and I will type my review as soon as I see everything on that disk.

The Originals Season 1 Review

Well this show's first season is over and I am glad. This entire season I had no idea who to pull for except for one and that was Haley and her unborn baby. Now I don't know what is planned for season 2 but I hope they do a better job of defining who the heroes are supposed to be because  if it is supposed to be the Originals then they should not have done some of the things they did this season. But as far as a finale goes it was good and the next review is the Second Season of Arrow.

Agents of Shield Season 1 Finale Review

I can sum up the review for this show in just one word. Wow! It was great, I'm not one of those that was skeptical of the show from the beginning. I was in doubt about watching it but once I saw the premiere I ended up loving it. I can't wait until next season. The storylines were wrapped up good and it left us a good cliffhanger.

Next Review: The Originals Season 1 Finale

Once Upon a Time Season 3 Finale Review

Well I just watched the season finale of Once Upon a Time and it was good. Emma goes back in time to the past of the Enchanted Forest and watches the events of history unfold before her eyes. Well if that was the case the show would have only been about 30 minutes and not two hours. Her presence in the past changes things just enough to make her apart of the story and finally feel connected to her family. And her brother's name is Neal named after her ex and Henry's father. Well Emma and Hook who went to the past with her brought back some else from there because they didn't know if saving her life would change things or not and indeed they did. Her name is Marion the wife of Robin Hood.

Now knowing what was going to happen I immediately begin to think if they did just one thing to change the past there would be a ripple effect that would change everything. And I was basing this on a Justice League animated film I saw called Flashpoint where the sane thing happen and I was proven right when Rumpletilskin said as much.

Now for the cliff-hanger: The villain next season or at least for the first half of the next season will be cold I think. Well that is all for this review. The next one I do will either be the season finale for The Originals or Agents of Shield whichever one I watch first on Tuesday Night.

Blue Bloods Season 4 Finale

Well I just completed watching the Blue Bloods' season finale and I have to say I really love this show. And here is why: It is indeed a family drama. Sure it has violence in it because it is also a cop drama but in every episode so far as much as I can remember there has always been at least one scene of the family around the dinner table. And they don't hesitate to say grace either.

In this finale it does a real good job wrapping up the season's storylines. Which is the one thing I don't like about it. There is no cliffhangers. There has never been one. Unlike Hawaii 5-O which has had one every season so far except for this one but I'm still not sure about that and won't be until next season. But wrapping up the season's story is its prime objective and that was indeed done. Cliffhangers are optional and this show chose not to have them. Tomorrow night I will be giving a review to the two-hour season 3 finale of Once Upon a Time. And coming this fall: The season Premieres. All of the shows I will be reviewing finales will have season premieres except for the Tomorrow People which has been canceled. But I will be including some series premieres as well with the first one being "Girl Meets World".

Hawaii 5-O Season 4 Finale

Well I just watch the season finale of Hawaii 5-O. And it was a good one. Lou a police officer who has been butting heads with the team all season finally had to make a move that goes against the rules. Ian, played by Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, is back and has kidnapped Lou's daughter. It is definitely a full circle story considering what happen in the season premiere. Lou loses his job and ends up joining 5-O. There isn't much of a cliffhanger except that Ian is shot dead by Wofat who has returned. He frees the girl and says he wants to meet with McGarret. There is no follow up to this so I guess it will be touch upon in the next season.

Well next up is the season finale of Blue Bloods.

Coming soon: A New Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Reboot Movie

Well they have announced a new Power Rangers Movie is coming out and it is going to be a reboot. I'm okay with this and looking forward to what they will do. That being said I am going to state what I think they should do for this movie and any sequels they might do.

Idea #1: Adapt Day of Dumpster and Doomsday together:

Rita escapes in the first episode and originally was put back in the last episode of the first season but that was change when additional episodes were ordered. Well do this but in the ending credits scenes to hint for a sequel, have Lord Zedd appear and release giving her a second chance and the green ranger coin and tell her not to screw up. In the sequel, the Green Ranger is created, freed the spell, loses his powers and then gets them back by the end of the movie. Have Lord Zedd keep appearing in this movie to check in on Rita and after the Green Rangers gets his powers back he takes over and they get new zords and the Green Ranger becomes the White Ranger. In the third movie, Rita returns this time with her brother and Father who are not too happy with Zedd. And the Rangers get the Ninja Zords. But that is just one idea.

Idea #2: Do a prequel to the first movie:

There is enough info in the first part of the movie to do a sequel with so why not?

The Tomorrow People Finale Review

Okay, this is going to be the first of many reviews of the finales of several shows I watch and enjoy. More of these reviews will come either after they air or I watch them.

The Tomorrow People is about a group of people with special powers called the three Ts: Telekinesis, Telepathy, and teleportation. They are called the next stage of evolution. One group is given the name show's title. Before I actually get into the review of this episode I should probably mention that it is an adaptation of a Children's show that aired on Nickelodeon back in the 90s. But it is also is an adaptation of a British series that proceeds that.

But in the finale the main characters have to stop one of their own from killing the normal human race. And they are successful and there is enough set up for a second season if there is one.

Now about my thoughts:

I like the finale. I like this show. My only problem with this show is the same problem I had with "The Secret Circle" that aired a few years ago. I never saw anything actually happen in the show in regard to the plot until the end of the season. Now some may argue that is not true and they are welcome to their opinion but as regard to the general plot of this show's season nothing really happen until the end. Well nevertheless, I enjoyed it and I hope it returns next season.

My next finale review will be Hawaii 5-O.

Uncle Ed's Holiday Reports Part 5: Easter

Okay, this will be the last of my reports on important Holidays. On this day, we, Christians, remember two things: Christ's death on the Cross and his resurrection three days later. This is an important day for Christians because if this event didn't happen then we are all liars. Yeah Christ died on the Cross for everyone. It doesn't matter what religion if any you have he still died for your sins. And if you believe that with your heart and accept him as your savior then you will be saved in his eyes and your name will forever be written into the Lamb's Book of Life. Just knowing that is enough for me to believe and that I did 28 years ago late April 1986.

That is all I have to say. I will be back soon with updates and such when plans have been made as to what I will do next on this blog.

Once Upon a Time Season 1 Recap and Season 2 Review

Well I finally completed viewing Once Upon a Time Season 2 DVDs. But before I review season 2, I'm going to recap Season 1.

Season 1 is basically the story of Snow White and Prince Charming. Everything leading up to the kiss that wakes Snow White up from the sleeping curse is told throughout the season. But other fairy tale characters are shown as well. Cinderella; Hansel and Gretel; Rumpletilskin; Pinocchio; Belle and others appear during the first season. Some of their backstories are the ones we all know but oth have twists you wouldn't expect. After saving Snow, the couple gets married and the evil queen shows up and proclaims she is going to curse everyone to live in another land where there is no magic and there will be no happy endings. And she does. But the couple has a plan. They send their daughter to the other land through an enchanted tree so she can one day break the curse. Fast-forward 28 years when a little boy shows up at a doorstep of a woman named Emma claiming to be her son. She takes him home to Storybrooke and decides to stay a while. Now while we are watching and learning about the fairytale characters we are watching this woman slowly fall in love with her son and by season's end she kisses him and he wakes up from the sleeping curse which also breaks the curse that the evil Queen casted. But at the same time Rumple releases magic on the town and this ends season 1. Now to review season 2.

I'm not going to do with this show what I did with Saved by the Bell. I'm just going to talk about the season as a whole.

In season 2, the characters in the town know who they are and the first thing that happens is Snow White and Emma are sent to the Fairytale land. They meet two new characters to the show, Sleeping Beauty and Muan. They also run into Cora, the evil queen's mother. They also meet a third new character in Captain Hook. Well they find their way back to Storybrooke and the season progresses when a mysterious stranger crashes at the border just as Belle is shot and falls over that border and loses her memory. That stranger is someone who has been looking for this town for a long time and looking for his father, too. His partner is someone who is engaged to be married to a young man named Neal who is the father to Henry (the little boy mention earlier) and the son to Rumple or Mr. Gold as he is known in town.  But it was all a lie just so they can get rid of magic. That is until they realize who Henry is and they kidnap him. Henry's family plus Hook go search for him in a land called Neverland and this is where the season ends.

This season is good and I enjoyed. Keep an eye out for my next review which will be Arrow Season 1. It should be out within the next two weeks.

Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier Review

This is a good movie and I really enjoyed it. The only problems I had with this movie is the early action scenes were too fast pace. It settled down around the half-way point but I could barely tell what was going on in the movie because of the fast pace but it did continue the story of First Avenger and I will give 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Wrestlemania Weekend

Well for the first time ever I watch a WWE Pay-Per-View. I watched WrestleMania. I started to watch it on my PS3 using the WWE Network but internet kept going down and messing it up so I ended up watching it on my computer. I didn't really watch it live because of everything that happen but I still enjoyed it.

First I want to talk about the Hall of Fame Ceremony. It was very interesting. I won't discuss each speech but I will talk about two of them. First, Mr. T., He starts off with a prayer. God Bless Mr.
T. for this. Then he starts talking about his momma. If I didn't know any better I would say he was trying to preach. He however was cut short because of time and he didn't finish thanking everyone.

Now for the Ultimate Warrior's speech, I don't know much about this guy or his career. Unfortunately, he passed away last night just three days after the ceremony. He appeared on WrestleMania with the rest of the 2014 class and then on Raw doing one last promo as his character. I 'm thinking he must of know he was about to die because of what he said in his speech but I really don't know for sure.

Now for the event itself; first I was able to watch this because I am subscriber of the WWE Network which is $9.99. and it is well worth every penny. Each match was good and I am glad of some of the results. I am glad Daniel Bryan is the new WWE World Heavyweight  Champion. and I am glad that John Cena and the Shield won their respective matches. I am disappointed that the Undertaker lost but it was probably because he wanted to retire. I don't really care about the Diva's Title match and the Battle Royal was interesting.

Overall it as an enjoyable experience and I can't wait until Extreme Rules.

Final thoughts on Saved by the Bell and some Updates

Well here are some of my final thoughts on the TV show Saved by the Bell, following them is some updates:

I love the show and my only problems are not with the episodes themselves but how often they were on how badly they were edited by some channels years down the line. The only thing I think TBS ever did right when running the show is putting the episodes in a more chronological episodes because otherwise we are led to believe that Zack/Kelly and Slater/Jessie got back together or never broke up after they did because they are shown still dating. But I can't forgive TBS for editing out important scenes from episodes just so they could show more commercials. The life-saving scene from the Christmas Episodes comes to mind. Other than that I love this show and I recommend everyone to give it a chance as long as it isn't on TBS because that channel edited out way too much and I would never support them bringing it back unless they show the full unedited episodes again (toward the end of the run they were even edited and changing the theme song to save time). Or if you want to watch the DVDs instead, most of the episodes on them are the full versions. Not all of them but some of them.

Now on with the updates:

Okay, I will soon begin watching Once Upon a Time Season 2; Arrow Season 1; and the GI Joe sequel. Once I watch these seasons and movie I will review them. Look for them beginning in Late May early June (I hope).

As far as my Bite Me series of chapters go, I am planning on posting Chapter 21 the first week of July and I will go from there. If I can get enough of it written by then the last chapter should go up right before Thanksgiving just like last year. Once this story is complete I will start working on other ideas and posting an ideal schedule for them in the future. I do have one more holiday report to do and it will come out on April 20. Weekly blogs are probably not going to return because the lack of ideas but if something catches my attention and I have to put my thoughts out there then I will do sol But for now that is all I have to say.

Saved by the Bell Season 5 Review Part 3

Okay, readers this is it. The final review of the series of Saved by the Bell. Now this is for the final 8 episodes of season 5 which is really season 4 but I'm just glad to have finally finish watching this series so I can move on to other projects. When I am done with this I will post a separate blog on the series as a whole and include updates as well. Now on with the review:

Episode 17: The Senior Prom (F):

In this episode, a lot happens. 1. Zack has to be manipulative to get Kelly as his prom date and then explain to her why he did it. 2. Screech promises Lisa he won't asked her to the prom. He instead pursues another girl (seriously I thought it was several girls he was pursuing but it was really just one). She tells off that girl and then asks him to the prom. I think she finally saw how everything she did to Screech affected him. This is also evident in what she does in a later episode and I will discuss it then. 3. Jessie and Slater ends up in the Boiler Room for most of the prom but are later rescued by Zack and Kelly.

Episode 18: The Video Yearbook (F):

Now this and the next episode are terribly misplaced in the series run. In this specific episode there is mentions of the out-going senior class plus if you look at Lisa in these two episodes and the others (even the Tori episodes) it is clear she is not a senior classman. Also Zack is still dating Kelly and Slater is still dating  Jessie so this episode if anything is from their sophomore year. Cause it happens before Zack and Kelly breaks up at the start of the 3rd season. Okay, now for the plot. Zack needs a car, and the school needs a good idea for the school yearbook (which despite the plot of the episode they still have regular yearbooks in the graduation episode), Zack suggests to do a video yearbook and everyone says yes and then he gets the idea of making dating video which was going well until the gain finds out and they teach him a lesson.

Episode 19: Snow White and the Seven Dorks (F):

The students at Bayside put on a rap version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but it leads to chaos when Jessie is cast of Snow White and Zack as Prince Charming because of a kissing scene and they are each dating someone else. Well they come up with a plan to fix everything by the episode's end.

Episode 20: Earthquake (T) (F):

This is a Tori episode that I really like because it allows Zack to do something good for someone. He delivers Mr. Belding's son (whom he names Little Zack) after an earthquake hits Bayside. I'll talk about when the climax of that principal/student relationship between these two characters occur a little later.

Episode 21: The Best Summer of My Life ( Clip show) (F):

Zack, Screech, Lisa and Slater look back on the summer they had while skipping school, I should note that this takes place at the start of their junior year of high school not their senior year because they already have a "first day of Senior Year" episode. Jessie and Kelly are not in this episode except for credits and flashbacks but this is not a Tory episode as I don't consider it part of their senior year and she is not in the credits. Oh and this is the second of three clip shows.

Episode 22: School Song (T) (F):

This is a Tory episode but  I like it anyway because it brings up all the trouble Zack has cause over the last four years and that it would take 4 years to talk about it all. But it showcases them trying to write Bayside a new school song that reflects the time and views of the students. Zack writes one too but his song doesn't win because he tries to cheat to do so. Screech's song won but only after changes were made.

Episode 23: Graduation (F):

Remember above where I said that Lisa does something else that may reflect how she saw the wrong she has treated Screech over the last four year. Well it occurs in this episode when she actually kisses him willingly because she saw him as a descent guy. Also, they graduate high school, including believe it or not Zack who does so because of his friends standing up for him despite the fact he made them look ridiculous. Also Mr. Belding tells Zack that he knows he has something special in him and hopes he is around to see him let it all out.  This leads to what I mention earlier as the  climax of their relationship. They hug. Don't worry they do the sane in the Wedding in Las Vegas Movie, tool

Episode 24: Time Capsule (F):

This my friends in the series finale. Yes, Mr. Belding and later Screech go on to do the New Class but as far as this class is concern it is the last episode together and it is a clip show. Mr. Belding, 10 years down the line (2003)  shows a new group of students a time capsule left by the class of 1993. It of course is a video of their time at Bayside. It also includes the daydreams the students had so it is kind of weird look back in that regard but whatever. It is a good reflection on the characters and how they changed over the course of 4 years with a lot of shots taken at Mr. Belding.

Final thoughts on these episodes:

They were good and I love them.

Saved by the Bell Season 5 Review Part 2

Well it has been a while but I am finally almost done with my Saved By the Bell Reviews. Only one more to go after this. I am typing this from my new computer so I may have some mistakes in this review that I don't realize at first but if I see them I will correct them. Okay let's get to it shall we?

Episode 9: Wrestling with the Future(F):

Slater wants to go to Iowa to wrestle but his military father wants him to go into the Army. Zack tries to help him out but gets them both in trouble instead. In the end Slater tells his father the truth and he does come around. Why do I like this episode so much? Well we get to see all of the cast state where they will be going after High School except for Lisa because we already know where she is going.

Episode 10: Drinking and Driving (T) (F):

Now I know I have said I don't like Tory episodes that much but this one I do because of the moral lesson behind it. Oh, and for the record they should have let Screech drive, He did not drink and would have been the perfect designated driver. Sure they could have still had the wreck but you know what at least it wouldn't be because of alcohol.

Episode 11: Class Rings (T) (F):

Again another favorite Tory episode but only because it shows Lisa finally getting some for the poor attitude she has always had toward Screech (It is just a good thing she actually does change toward him toward the end of this final season. Anyway it is time for them to get their class rings. Zack naturally wants to be put in charge and gets them fake because he was conned. But thanks to help from Screech he gets everyone real rings and he gets his girlfriend back from Screech.

Episode 12: Love Machine (F):

I like this episode but I think this should not be part of their senior year of high school because Jessie and Slater are still together and they broke up in "Cut Day", There will be another couple of episodes like this that I will discuss next time. Anyway Slater's old girlfriend from Germany comes to town and Jessie does not like it until Slater and Jennifer no longer love each other,

Episode 13: Isn't It Romantic? (F) (Clip Show):

This is the first of three clip shows this season but not on this season itself but the entire series. It focuses on the relationships these kids have had in high School.

Episode 14: The Will (T):

This is another Tory Episode and is not really a favorite. It is good but the revenge option the girls took was not necessary. Heck the competition itself was not necessary because Mr. Belding, being the principal and all  could have just said that every sports team would get equal portions of the money  and left it at that. But he's Mr. Belding so what would you expect.

Episode 15: The Teacher's Strike (F):

The girls and Screech prepare for the Academic Bowl against Valley while the boys prepare to go skiing. The teachers are in labor negotiations with the school board that might lead to a strike and no school. Zack and Slater get the strike settled for Mr. Belding so they can have the competition but then Screech gets sick and Zack has to take his place. They win in the sports category in the subject of Basketball. Oh and Kelly is out of town,

Episode 16: Slater's Sister (T) (F):

Slater's sister comes home and begins to date Zack much to Slater's irritation. But he comes around at the end. And the only reason I am calling this a favorite is the fact they sing at the end since they are honoring the 50s with a "Sock hop". (I apologize if this is misspelled but I have no idea how it is spelled and this is the closest thing I could come up with).

In conclusion this is a great bunch of episodes but my real favorites for a lot of reasons are in the next part which is coming soon. I just don't know when. And don't forget I will posting my final thoughts on the entire series after I finish this season. Until next time.

February Updates

Well it is time again to give you some updates. Let's begin shall we?

Here is what I will be reviewing in the future. Not the dear future but not necessary in the far distant future either:

Saved by the Bell Season 5 Parts 2 and 3 plus the wrap-up.
Arrow Season 1
Once Upon a Time Season 2
G I Joe Retaliation

Plus I will be going back to watching and reviewing the classic seasons of Dallas beginning with season 4 but I won't list that until I get to these. I do plan on going to see the new Captain America Movie in a few months and I will post a review on that when I can (It doesn't come out until May).

Now about my story Bite Me: V. 7:

Well first I am going to rename it Bite Me for the last "season" when I begin posting portions of the chapters again. As far as when I will start posting chapters again, I don't know. I need a new computer and I have plans of doing things a certain way but I really don't know what they will costs. As soon as my plan is hopefully set up the way I want it to be I will start finishing up this story and begin posting the last few chapters. This was originally planned to be 40 chapters long but I am going to try to trim that down to a lower number and have even shorter chapters so I can post one chapter a week in one day but I don't know how fast my creative juices will flow when I start typing it again.

Plus, I have other titles I won't to take a stab at again and I will be posting them when this one is done so I need to wrap it up rather quickly.

I have one more holiday report but that won't come until near the end of the month of April. I will focus on the holiday of Easter.

This wraps up this update. I'll do another one when I deemed necessary.

Saved By the Bell Season 5 Review Part 1

Okay, I'm back with the first of four final posts on Saved by the Bell. Yes, I said for because I am going to reflect on the series as a whole when I am done with Season 5. Now let's get right to it shall we?

Episode 1: The Fight (F):

Need I really have to say anything about what makes this episode so great. Zack and Slater actually get into a physical fight. It was a long time coming too. Yes, they were rivals over Kelly but Zack won her fair and square so there was no reason to fight. But this time it was over a new girl they both liked. And they both did something to try to ruin the other's date with that girl and so it led to a fight. But they did solve their differences and become friends again.

Episode 2: Student Teacher Week (F):

Kelly is the history teacher; Lisa and Screech are the gym coaches; and Zack is the Principal? He is for one week in order to learn responsibility. And that he does folks when he suspends Slater and the other Senior football players for missing Kelly's test. They then take the test during the game and play only after they pass. They then go out and win the game.

Episode 3: Screech's Spaghetti Sauce (F):

The kids put on a "Today" like show for kids for public access Television and there is a segment with Screech in the Kitchen with Slater. He is fixing his grandmother's secret spaghetti sauce recipe which can be found in a Betty Crocker Cookbook. Screech also gets a date with a girl that turned down both Zack and Slater. But she is only using him which he finds out the hard way but with Zack and the other's help he gets back at her by selling her his business of selling someone else's recipe in order to get money to pay Mr. Belding for using school supplies.

Episode 4: The New Girl (TE):

Take special not there is no F by this episode and that is because I call this and several of the episodes that follow "Tory Episodes" and I do not like these episodes and I will tell you why. 1, there is no Kelly or Jessie. Now I know the behind the scenes why but no in-episode mention of where they are is unacceptable. Plus, in this episode Lisa acts like a jerk the entire time.

Episode 5: The Bayside Triangle (F):

In this episode, Screech finally tries to win Lisa's heart only it gets captured by Zack instead. Screech wants a fight but Zack knows its not worth it (probably because of the one he had with Slater). In the end, Zack and Screech remain friends and he gets Lisa for a date.

Episode 6: Teen Line (TE)(F):

This is another "Tory Episode" as indicated above with a TE. This episode is kind of a favorite because it shows Zack trying to help someone and getting carried away not with a get rick scheme but with caring too much about something rather than someone. In this case, it was a girl in wheelchair.

Episode 7: Masquerade Ball (TE):

This is another "Tory Episode" and is not a favorite. Zack and Slater bet on who can kiss Tory first. It ends up with Slater kissing Screech and Zack apologizing.

Episode 8: Day of Detention (TE):

Again, this is a "Tory Episode" and not one I like. Zack tries to win a trip to Hawaii while trying to get out of Detention and gets his friends involved and in Detention, too. Thanks, Zack

Well that ends part one of Season 5. Next time is Part 2 where I will be reviewing 6 favorite episodes including 1 of 3 clip shows. Talk to you then.

Uncle Ed's Holiday Reports Part 4: Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone who reads my blog posts.. Now for those who are not in the know Valentine's Day started when a priest, St. Valentine, married couples on the 14th day of February during the days of the Roman Empire. The emperor wanted men not to get married so they will be more willing to join the army so he outlawed marriages. Well St. Valentine married couples in secret and this is how the day got started. Or at least that is what i heard or read somewhere. I don't remember where it was but I heard or read this once and it just stuck to my mind and I decided to share it with my readers. Well that is all for this installment of my Holiday Reports. The last part of the series will come in April when I talk about Easter. Until then.

Saved by the Bell Season 4 Review

Saved by the Bell Season 4 Review

Note: I am changing the order I am viewing and reviewing these episodes in. There are 10 episodes this season. And two of those are a split two-parter. I am reviewing all the single episodes without commentary included first followed by another two-parter that is not split then I will watched the two-parter that is split back to back followed after that by the three episodes with commentary. To be more clear as to what I mean the episode order according to how I will watch and review them will be listed below in that order. However their episode number will be according to how they are listed in my box set.

Episode 1: SAT’s (F):

In this episode the gang takes their SATs and start looking at colleges. Jessie is upset that a college wouldn’t look at her because her score was lower than Zack’s but learns a lesson that she doesn’t necessary need that school to get a good grade. Oh and Zack’s score was 1502.

Episode 3: Hold Me Tight (F):

In this episode the gang helps a girl get on the wrestling team. She even wins her match at the end of the episode against Valley.

Episode 7: Cut Day (F):

The gang gets an official day to cut school but it means an unexcused absence and if you have 10 you are suspended and that is what Mr. Belding is hoping for if Zack isn’t in every one of his classes, which he is but only after actually sneaking out each period. This is the episode where Slater and Jessie break up even though they are together in future episodes.

Episodes 8 & 9: A Home for Christmas (F) Pts. 1 & 2:

In this episode, we get to see another side of Zack. We get to see him actually only trying to help someone with a problem they are having. It may have been the Christmas Spirit but it is not the only time he tries to help someone. It shows he is a good person underneath that trouble-making schemer. Also, when these episodes would be shown on TBS they would edit out a scene of Zack and Slater actually performing CPR on someone. They would go to commercial before this scene. My question is Why?! This is a scene kids today need to see because it shows young people like themselves not hesitating to help someone and shows that they know what they are doing, too.

 Episodes 2 & 4: Palm Springs Weekend (F) Pts. 1 & 2:

In this two-parter, Jessie’s father is getting married and she is not happy when she learns that it is to a younger woman but due to Zack’s help she realizes she just needs to give her new step mom a chance and they could be friends.

Episode 5: No Hope with Dope (F):

In this episode, a movie star comes to Bayside High to shoot an anti-drug commercial and the kids are all excited until they find out he smokes pot and they stood up to him and refuse to do the commercial with a liar. But thanks to Mr. Belding they were able to do the commercial anyway because of his friendship with the actual president of NBC Entertainment Brandon Tartikoff who passed away between 10 to 20 years ago. He was the sole person responsible for Saved by the Bell being on TV in the first placed when the shows predecessor was not working on another channel. I watched this episode with the commentary turned on.

Episode 6: Rockumentary (F):

This is another episode I watched with the commentary turned on. It has Zack dreaming that their band made it big and then breaking up and then getting back together. It doesn’t have Jessie because the actress injured herself before the filming of this episode. It’s a fun episode that shows probably what happens a lot of times between members of a band when someone new comes in and splits them up.

Episode 10: Mystery Weekend (F):

In this episode the gang goes to a mansion for a murder mystery weekend where Zack solves the mystery. There are some things they claim in this episode that are just not true. 1. Zack did not sell fake IDs in school. Only five fake IDs were made and they were for him, Screech, Slater, Jessie and Lisa, no more or no less. 2. Zack did not steal Mr. Belding’s Car. It was lent to both him and Slater to install a CD player. 3. Zack was not alone in kidnapping Valley’s mascot. Screech and Slater were very much involved. Other than that, this was a great episode and the last of Season 4. I will be doing Season 5 in three parts and Part 1 will be up as soon as I watch all of the episodes on the first disk.

Good-bye for now.

A Review of Iron Man 3

Well I know it is late but I am finally putting out my thoughts on Iron Man 3. And I have only one thing to say. It was good. Now why was it so late? Well for one I saw the movie just a few days before I set up this blog and I couldn't remember enough of what happen in the movie to write about it. Well I got it on DVD for Christmas and I watched it today and I have to say in my second viewing I loved it and that is all I have to say. The plot was good. The characters were good (except for the Mandarin). I loved it and that is all I am going to say.

Saved by the Bell Season 3 Review Part 3

Well I’m back with another review of a season of Saved by the Bell. Man, I love this show. There are only two episodes that isn’t a favorite and even it has parts I think are good.

Episode 13: My Boyfriend’s Back:

This is the fourth of six episodes at the beach club and one that isn’t one of my favorites but it is still good anyway because it establishes the relationship between Zack and Stacy, the boss’s daughter. Her ex-boyfriend comes to town to surprise and does things she doesn’t want and she doesn’t ever have an opportunity to explain this to Zack until the end of the episode. Also, we learn that Jessie isn’t perfect at everything and not everything Slater says is sexist.

Episode 14: Fake I.D.’s (F):

In this episode, Kelly learns she should have never dumped Zack for Jeff. And Zack despite during wrong in getting fake I.D.’s was a friend to Kelly despite what she wrote about him in her diary.

Episode 15: Boss Lady (F):

This is the fifth beach episode. Mr. Carosi leaves for the day on business and leaves Stacy in charge and hijinks occurs. Screech goes searching for gold on the beach causing it to be filled with holes. The dining room is double booked with parties and the kitchen staff suddenly wants that raise that was promise. What happens? One party is moved to the beach then back to the dining room but after party #1. The kitchen staff goes on strike but later cooks for both parties. Both parties end up going on at the same time and everyone is happy except for Mr. Carosi when he sees the beach.

Episode 16: Pipe Dreams (F):

I’ll mention this again in the next episode description. But this episode showcases what happens when kids stand up for what they believe in especially when they learn they were wrong to want something better when they already had the best. They learn about animals in the wild and at the same time oil is discovered on the football field. They have the opportunity to build a better school until there is an oil spill and all of their animal friends end up dead especially a duck Zack becomes fond with. He learns that wanting a better Bayside was wrong because of the costs they would have to endure (like going to school in an oil field.

Episode 17: The Last Weekend (F):

Well as I said earlier this episode showcases what this show was always meant to be about. Even the executive producer agrees. He says in the commentary of this episode that the last scene of this episode that shows Zack’s friends joining him on the beach and them walking away together exhibits the one them of the entire show: Friendship. Now yes this show has them in different stereotype groups but if you watch the show you will see they are friends despite this.
Episode 18: Date Auction:

This is the other episode that is not a favorite but it does teach a good lesson on accepting others that are different than yourself. Zack, Jessie, and Lisa learn this lesson. Zack tries every excuse to not date a girl that won him in an auction. Jessie ends up with Screech because she refuses to bid on Slater based on principal. And Lisa learns she needs to always be herself.

Episode 19: All in the Mall (F):

This is considered the last episode in my Seasons 3 and 4 box set but really both of these seasons are one long one. This takes place in the Mall. The entire episode does and it doesn’t include Jessie who was injured the week before and had to miss two episodes. In the episode the gang tries to get tickets to a U2 concert and hijinks ensues when Screech loses his place in line and they find money. They end believing they are being chased by thugs but find out they are on a hidden camera program and they get those tickets which Zack wants to immediately sell.

All of these episodes are good in their own right but some of my real favorites begin in “Season 4” and I will share my thoughts on them when I watch them. That is all.
